It’s a saison of sorts; hellaciously herbaceous and hopefully contagious. This was not a ready made ale. But it is a ready made collaboration. Meaning Stone and Victory are 2 breweries that are exactly like Dogfish in that they do/brew exactly what they love and they do/brew it exactly like no other brewery out there. (Love - lots of it in this bottle)

Bottle compared side to side with the Victory version. Clear yellow, large fluffy white head. Aroma of spice and white pepper. Taste is tangy, orange peel, coriander, coconut. Tastier and better looking than its Victory cousin.

Heavy haze on this gold beer, big suddy white head. Pleasant nose of hops and citrussy herbs. Light palate, a little dry. Lemon and orange citrus, pretty mild. Perfectly complemented by sweet herbs. Finishes light and dry. Creamy malt and more beautifully integrated citrus hop and herbs. Unusual beer, nicely joined up and delicious.

Bottle shared at the Euston Tap. Pours cloudy gold with a strong, fluffy white head. Spicy aroma with herbs and pepper, along with tart, citrus fruits. Lightly sweet flavor hinting of lemon and yeast, then sharp spices followed by a pronounced, slightly earthy bitterness. Light-medium in body with lively carbontion. Finish holds moderate sweetness, light drying, further spices, light funk, citrus rind and lingering hay bitters. Very nice.

Bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pale golden beer with a small off white head. Sweet floral spicy aroma, thyme, parsley, perfume, citrus notes, spicy notes. Perfume flavor, dry, hair salon, thyme, some other spices, grapefruit and hay. Not a favorite, the spices takes too much place.

mcberko (18589) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 27, 2011
12 oz. bottle, pours cloudy yellow with a big white head. Big barnyard funk, citrus and hay on the nose. Flavour is full of both citrus fruits and plenty of coriander, with a noticeable funkiness that kicks in later and a slightly sour, yeasty and citrusy finish. Crisp, clean, refreshing palate. Very solid.
