Bottle pours a slightly hazy golden, large frothy white head with so-so retention, and decent carbonation. Belgian yeast, flora, citrus, and banana in the nose. Detectable alcohol in the aroma as well. Slight fruity spiciness up front, but somewhat muttled. The Belgian yeast taste is quickly interupted with a bitter and acidic taste, result of the Kaffir Lime Leaf perhaps? By the time it finishes, I get a metallic tinge on the sides of my tongue. Respectable lacing tho. The 8.5% makes an appearance after the finish, slight warming of the throat. The aroma was unique, interesting, combining the Belgian yeastiness with a typical German Hefe, but the flavor was muttled with the Kaffir Lime Leaf (assuming). Too much going on here, each trying to battle each other, only resulting in a quasi Belgian Strong ale meets German Hefe meets tin can. Overall, I think the tin can won. Drinkable, but not all that enjoyable.BDR (2535) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - FEB 26, 2007
A golden yellow pour with no head, this one had a grainy banana flavor with lots of hops. Not as enjoyable as the 03. vwsteggie (684) - Paxton, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 26, 2004
Art of Beer Festival 2004: Has a light golden color moderate carbonation and a little white head. Smell is of fruit/hops. Taste is of bananas/spice/cloves and has a light hop finish. Overall a pretty good beer, but nothing special. bager (2120) - Copenhagen N, DENMARK - SEP 24, 2006
Bottle. Pours golden coloured with a medium sizeed and fast disappearing head. Slightly perfumed aroma. Yeasty and sweet like a belgo triple. A bit sharp and too high carbonation level. Hints of alcohol, fruits and honey. Slightly dry finish. Huhzubendah (3775) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Thanks to the Thorpes for sharing.
The beer is bright orange and hazy with a thin white head. The aroma offers mint, tea, citrus, malt, lime, kiwi. The flavor is a bit odd, showing signs of age. Well water, oranges, light toffee. Light in body with low carbonation. This was ok.

Bottle at RBSG. Poured golden with a thin white head that faded to a thin ring. Aroma was old faded fig and malt yeast. Taste was also hidden fig and fruit with oxidized malt yeast. Palate thin slick. MrDick (381) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 1, 2015
Opened a bottle in 1/1/2015. Decent carbonation. Little aroma. A lot of oxidation but still drinkable. Sugary sweet. Lime is hardly apparent. Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - MAY 1, 2016

Bottled, thanks hopsrus! Bright golden, creamy head. Strange salty banana aroma. Full bodied and soft, byt assaultingly sweet and with syrupy mouthfeel. Alcohol comes shining through the layers of lemon grassm orange and sugar. Interesting, but not terribly good. Perhaps time will change this?
