2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Belgian style, obvious Belgian influences, with the yeast and orange peel characters. But i tasted a lot of American style hops in here (could be wrong, i dunno). Didn’t taste particularly Belgian to me. Interesting all same. Probably have to hang on to a bottle to let in soften. A little too much alcohol showing in the finish.
22oz bottle 9/29/16 (FlandersNed trade at an old DL day)-42° in Trappist Glass-Pours a reddish orange with a small white head. Aroma of Belgian Yeast, lime, wheat, and sweetness. Taste of the same with a bit more sweetness, hay, malt, and caramel. This medium to full bodied brew has held up well and is darn tasty. _angst_ (5008) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 17, 2016
Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours hazy reddish orange with a small offwhite head that doesn’t leave any trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell mostly oxidised with biscuits, raisins, leather, cardboard, prunes, dried apples and pears, minerals and hints of lemon peal. Taste is tiny sweet, tiny bitter and oxidised. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny dry, very tiny tart and medium bodied. Finish is surprisingly pleasantly oxidised. Kind impressed this is holding up as it does. hackobock (4095) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 17, 2016

Had this sometime at the end of 2012, as part of a 03.03.03 - 12.12.12 tasting. I had meant to enter these a while ago while they were fresh and add a few extra details, but that didn’t happen. Review from notes. Anyway, here we go.
3.5 A: Moderately hazed medium orange color. Didn’t make much of a head.
3.5 S: Honey, lime, pepper, clove, and dog biscuit. Musty and simultaneously spicy. Smells almost like a much less old saison.
3.5 T: Tastes like the nose. A lot of lime and dog biscuit. Musty, a bit tangy, and spicy. Pepper, honey, and clove.
3.5 M: Medium body. Lightly spritzy with good moderate carbonation.
3.0 D: I wouldn’t want to drink it again, but for an old ass beer it’s not bad.

Not overly sweet, mellow banana bread flavor, some kinda spice taste. Good rich hefeweizen.
