RBSG 2008. Overripe smell, flowery, reminds me of Pizza Port SPF 45 on the nose. Clear amber in the glass, no head. Apricot brandy or port is the main impression with the first sip. More carbonated than expected. A bit tangy, with some orangey acidity. A bit tannic, the overall feel is kind of like a light red wine (maybe a Cote du Rhone?). Finish is a bit astringent, producing a chemical dryness. It’s aight.
Draft 6 oz pour at the Brouwers Big Wood. Reddish orange pour with a thin oily head. Big wine barrel presence coming through here. Floral. Rose finish. Very nice. mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 5, 2015
On tap at Brouwer’s for Big Wood 2015, pours a hazy orangey amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a good mix of Belgian yeast, red wine barrels and oak - a touch of oxidation. Flavour is really nice, with Belgian yeast, tempered red wine and oak. Not really any oxidation but it shows some lovely age. 8 years old and it ls very complex and balanced. Excellent. Draft - Grape, oak, plum and some medicinal notes. Clear copper with a decent beige head. Sweet, vinous, slightly juicy and a boozy malts. Hopswagger (199) - South Carolina, USA - FEB 2, 2014

Celebrating the Vertical Epic Series
P: Golden reddish tint with a bountiful dose of sudsy head.
S: Red wine booze, peppermint, spruce tree, white and black pepper corns, cranberries dusted with cocoa, barrel aroma, and blue cheese dankness.
T/M: Super sweet, rose hip, dandelion, and red wine. Moderate carbonation in a creamy smooth body.
O: wine and blue cheese take over and add a unique approach to the 07.07.07. This was a better offering of this beer and one that I actuall took home a growler of. Fantastic beer that was a real pleasure to enjoy.

Pour on tap at Falling Rock’s Vertical Epic event, orange red pour with hazy off white head, aroma brought notes of ginger, banana, orange, fruit, tart stone fruit, some oak and wine notes as well. Taste is a mix of oak, ginger, red wine/grape, some hints of earth, toffee, touch of golden raisin as well, finishing fairly sweet, slight tart fruits as well. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2012
Draft at Stone. Side by side with 07.07.07. Much of same aroma - orange peel, lemon, coriander, cardamom - with some added oak. Taste is much more smooth then the regular 07. The oak and red wine really mellow the aggressive spice. Pretty tasty. luttonm (6156) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 17, 2012
12oz from tap at Brouwer’s in Seattle, leftover from Vertical Epic night. Rosy clear, bright orange, small bubble head. Sweet raspberry, fruity nose with lemon. Mixed fruit tea, juicy and drying tart finish. Alc balances with the fruit. Remarkably reminiscent of mulled wine or fruity tea. Tasty and interesting beer. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 16, 2012
On tap at Brouwer’s for 12/12/12. Transparent dark orange. Mint, berry, lemongrass, and red wine on the nose. Flavor brings mulling spices and herbal tea, maybe some strawberry into the mix. Tasty, though maybe a little dilute, and still manages to pack a punch of flavor.
