Bomber from Keg N Barrel near SDSU. Pours a cinnamon-hued ruddy amber. LOTS of foam and bubbles racing up the sides of the glass. Aroma is richly malty sweet, with hints of citrus zest and spice evident already in the nose. Taste is spice forward, followed by alcohol, belgian funk and malt, and then more spicy ABV burn. Interesting... maybe a little cough syrupy and over-aged, certainly more on the sweet, spicy, and hot side than on the herbed side, but me likey. Not a brilliant beer, but interesting enough while still retaining some classic cidery-funky belgian saison-meets-belgian-tripel qualities to make it really unique. Yes, I say, yes. zvikar (6172) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - MAR 30, 2013

22 oz. bottle, sent from St. Fun (thanks a lot, Josh), pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma of oranges, perfumes, a little spicy fruits, and other spices. Flavour of apple cider, various spices (ginger, cardamom), grapefruit and some oranges. A little oxidized, not standing the test of time. Might’ve been good at the outset, but it’s difficult to enjoy now. portableparty (2350) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - MAR 12, 2013
Bottle from Tournament Liquor. Pours bright amber with a white soapy head that settles to a sudsy film and little lacing. Aroma has strong cardamon, ginger with hidden citrus that wants to come out, but the spice is too strong. Taste is somewhat different with the citrus being noticed along with spice of ginger and cardamon, there is some fruitiness to this along with some muted dulled hops and yeast. Palate is medium with holding decent carbonation and finishes dry. The spice is a little over the top for me and if it had been less could have been real nice. Still was fun to get a chance to try this. deyholla (11600) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Bottle shared by Tim, thanks! Pours a clear orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has ripe fruit with grass and a bit of musty grain. Flavor has notes of apple with a bit of grass and musty grain backing.

(bottle) Clear amber body with bubbles on the glass and a thin light beige head (disappearing). Aroma is medium spice (cardamom, nutmeg), caramel, fruit. Medium body, some carbonation. Flavor of crystal malt, honey--very sweet-- caramel, spice, hint of citrus zest, alcohol. neuromatt (1225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2013
22 oz bottle served in a branded glass at a tasting at Dan’s alongside the 2008 edition. Pours hazy copper with a moderate tan head that remains and leaves a small amount of lace. On the nose, there are complex spicy notes of cardamom, clove and nutmeg, along with citrus peel, honey, caramel and subtle hops. The flavour has a medium sweet base of caramel and brown sugar, along with complex and subtle herbal and spicy accents. On the palate, it is medium-full in body with a smooth, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a beautiful Belgian style brew with complex malts paired with a huge herbal/spicy character. 2012-08-11 Treebs (872) - , Illinois, USA - FEB 17, 2013
22 oz. bottle served in a CCB snifter.
A: Pours a hazy apricot color with a white head forming on the pour. Some splotches of lace are left down the glass.
S: A ton of cardamom and citrus zest. Some fruity alcohol notes as well with just a touch of sweet toffee malt.
T: Some candied grapefruits with a some spicy yeasty. A little bubblegum with some big cardamom notes. Light caramel malts. A ton of zest with bitter citrus peel.
M: Medium bodied with a medium carbonation level. Spicy and zesty on the finish.
O: Definitely one of the better ones of the nights, but I like cardamom and bitter zest. The beer was either liked or hated at the tasting mainly due to the cardamom.

On tap. Amazingly strong pear aromas. Mild but intense fruity flavor. Really nice.
