Draught at GABF 2008. Clear yellow - white head. Lovely hoppy, grainy, spicy, straw, hay, licorice, licorice yeasty, honey, pepper, light light banana notes, piney, resin. Lovely - very lovely.

Bomber poured a hazy yellow with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of earthiness, skunk bud, pine, passion fruit and light citrus. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a slightly dry finish. Sweetish malty flavor with a bit of caramel, honey hints, some fruitiness and a moderately bitter finish, slightly spicy, with an orange note. Medium-bodied. Keg at The Hay Merchant. It pours clear rich amber - brown with a thick white head. The aroma is rich, sweet, toffee, brown bread, candied fruits, orange peel, pine, resin and varnish. The taste is smooth, bitter, piney, resin, leather, peppery spice, toffee, dried fruits and juniper with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff.

Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured clear copper color with medium frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma was complex sweet malty and yeasty. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet dark flavor with medium bittersweet with small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light orange peel, grassy hops, light candy sugar, smooth alcohol warmth, very nice.
