3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Expensive, big bottle shared with Arild and Finn H. at The Rake, London Bridge. Slightly unclear, sunset coloured body. Decent off-white head. Floral hoppy to the nose. Tangerine taste supported by hints of dark spices and quite heavily, dry hopped ending. Well integrated alcohol. Rather sweet textured, but still pleasant to drink (01.08.2009).
An unusual beer, little aroma, great looks, but not much by way of a head. Beer is unusually sharp and tart but has an earthy dryness at the finish. yy0pp (1610) - - SEP 30, 2017

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge, march special releases. Slightly cloudy almost clear color with good bubbly foam.
Medium aroma intensity; fruity, a bit artificial fruits / chewing gum, some peach and orange. Medium body & complexity . Some immediate sweetness, good bitterness and pretty good balance. Smooth & Very enjoyable

Traditional English Porter. Has all the right notes, but nothing overwhelming. Good session Porter.

14/20 really interesting beer. Cross between a Belgian beer and a wheat beer with orange and coriander notes

Bottle from Systembolaget. Light spicy smell, herbal and nutty (almonds). Similar taste, abit boozy. Felt belgian, like a tripel. oobawa (1660) - Tennessee, USA - APR 1, 2017
Bottled 8.27.15. Dry, boozy Californicated Belgian. Big, floral, yeasty nose, dripping with perfume and grass and a mild herbal hoppiness. Pours like a dream, beautiful gold giving up a massive white head and rings and rings of lace. Tastes moderately dry, wheat and meadow mixing with bread and sunshine, fresh and easygoing, light despite the hefty ABV. Refuses to grow cloy, instead getting a boost from the boisterous carbonation and some generous hops on the back end. Sugars start to show as it warms, adding a pleasant apple-peach undertone, but the booze-tinged finish and dry, doughy fade offer balance. I remember hating this beer back in ’08. No problems now. I’ve matured! Chudwick (3332) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - FEB 21, 2017
bomber with bottled on date of late 2015. as I poured it I said WOW as I noticed it smelled like weed. A closer sniff is weed/skunk with honey or some sort of funny sounding berry. Saison funk with citrus hops. I would have liked a fresher version, but I do not own a time machine. Definite Belgian yeast. Grassy oily finish.
