Bottle. Pours copper with a large beige head. Aroma of funk with a hint of pepper. Flavors of caramel malts, artificial sweetener, syrup, a funky yeast flavor and peppers starting in the middle to the end. Don’t taste the cinnamon. Overall the flavors combine to give the beer a taste similar to dirt. Not good.

Appearance was amber with 2 finger head and lacing. Aroma was sweetness of malts, slight chilis smell spice and yeast .Taste was sweet and balanced with complex flavours of all kinds.Malts of all types and sweetness of honey. Mouthfeel was meduim body with creamy carbonation, a beautiful long balanced finish. New top 5 beer...

Draft. Beautiful ruby color. Smells of malt and slightly sour as it warms. Mostly chaulky yeast flavor and texture with a warmth from the chilli cinnamon and booze. Not super inviting but nice. Cinnamon is expressed subtly but is a backbone throughtout.

mikesaum (711) - Newark, Ohio, USA - NOV 20, 2011
Pours dark amber with khaki head, aroma is strong belgian yeast and a bit of cinnamon, no chiles, the yeast is spicy in aroma. Taste is complex, semi sweet with a deep rich flavor, nice belgian spice from the yeast, some heat from the chilies and a dash of cinnamon, abv is masked well, very good, would love to see how this ages

i was scared to buy this, but the outlandish things added to this beer really turned out to be balanced into a nice amber malt and belgian yeast strain. a good beer...

Shared bomber, tulip glass. Unique taste; the chilis dominate the taste, but are not too hot or peppery. Would have been better paired with Mexican food or something spicy.

freeofthoughts (688) - Raytown, Missouri, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Pours dark amber worth beige ish head. The aroma is musty and grainy with a light yeasty fruit. The taste is rich and heavy on barley with a light Belgian strong ale character. There is an up front chili spice with an intense cinnamon to cover the strong grainy beer. There is a little Belgian fruity taste, apples and sort of a cherry tint. Overall interesting, not amazing but unique.

scoth (685) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 8, 2014
Pours hazy deep copper brown with a puffy medium beige head, excellent retention, very fine lacing. Big malty aroma like a barley wine with notes of toast, biscuit, grass, hay, wood, and a hint of cinnamon. Medium full body, smooth and velvety. Mildly sweet, a hint of citrus, medium bitter finish.

Beer is clear medium brown with a light tan head. Aromas are sweet banana and spicy from the cinnamon. Taste is sweet Belgian yeast and cinnamon on the front end, but as the flavor lingers some warmth from the chilies, and some vegetable taste. The bitterness also comes in on the back end. Body is medium. ABV is disguised well. A good one in this great series.
