On draught at O’Neill’s Stone Beer Dinner. Pours a dark amber with a white head. Full-bodied. Even match between chile and slightly dry malty flavors. Late bump from chile heat. Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of burnt carmel, cinnamon and light chilies. Palate was medium bodied and crisp. 22 oz bottle. Pours a red amber with a yellowy off-white head. Aroma has red grape, a little yeasty banana, a hint of tartness. Flavor has some dark fruit, cocoa powder, earthiness. An interesting flavor that I can’t place until I remember seeing the note about Anaheim chilies. I also get the cinnamon a little. Seems pretty well done, but I just don’t think I can get totally into this.

Bomber. Dark brown and clear with a very small head. Nose is a bit winey and herbal with little malt or hop presence. Taste is bit herbal/perfumy, with some mild peppery flavors and a sticky sweetness. I don’t get this as a Belgian strong ale, which I always assume would have much more maltiness and a firmer body. On tap; poured a very dark auburn color with a khaki head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, cinnamon, fruit, earth and peppers. Flavor definitely had a pepper note to it, but not over the top. Not spicy hot. Some cinnamon notes, alcohol, Belgian yeast, and caramel/fruit. A touch of sweetness. Poured orange in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, tan head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Clear but slightly cloudy. Full of tiny particles throughout. Sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor is medium to heavily sweet and slightly spicy. Tastes of malt, Belgian yeast, cinnamon, slight caramel, and a hint of chili. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Dark ruby pour with tan head. Banana pepper, cinnamon dominated aromas. Cinnamon forward and spices with pepper flavor. Pepper dominates for one who doesn’t like red pepper.
