Bomber. Spice, dark fruit and some citrus. Creamy and sweet malty background. Light bitter finish with a spicy aftertaste and mild alcohol burn. A good beer but I was hoping for better. RABinCO (1511) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Bottle. Pours nearly pitch black with a slight tan head that fades to a halo. Aroma is very christmas spicy. Overall kind of a typical christmas ale, which is typical with the latest Vertical Epics. the booze definitely comes through on this one with a slight burn on the end. cubs (10677) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 17, 2012
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburs in Fort Collins. Pours a deep brown/black appearance with a nice, lasting dark brown head. Super mintry/sprucey, big ginger, chewy Belgian chocolate malty, quite spicy aroma. Tangy, burnt dark chocolate, anise, light coffee, charred ashy, minty, pine needle flavor with a fairly bitter, minty, earthy hoppy finish. Pretty strong flavor but it was decent enough to drink. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - DEC 17, 2012

Draft to pint at Dutch’s. Looks good; black with foamy beige head that slowly dissipates into lacing. Smells doughy, yeasty, and spicy. Tastes like it smells with a malty backbone. Average on the palate with a fairly dry finish. Solid.

Bottled. Pours dark brown with a short head. Nose and palate is full of spices with a nice roasty backbone. Med plus body, sticky texture, and a roasty bitter finish. Light on belgian elements, heavier on the roast. nickd717 (4781) - San Francisco, California, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Bomber at ChurchKey. Nearly black in color with a small fading light khaki head. Licorice and menthol aroma with slight Belgian notes. Roasty flavor with menthol, spices, Belgian yeast, citrus peel, and anise. Fuller body with medium-low carbonation. Solid brew but not quite EPPICK! jeremytoni (3082) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - JAN 22, 2013
