22oz bomber. This is a great brew. A deep red, thick and rich with a piney/ citrus aroma similar to an IPA. Over all i really like it but im an IPA lover. I will definately buy it agin when i can. kwerikson (178) - burlington, New Jersey, USA - AUG 22, 2009
the beer is a very dark red color in appearance. pored out in wide mouth pint glass and poured a very nice but gentle head. it was nice and foamy and lingered around the glass as it was consumed. it reminded me of the aragant bastard ale just stronger and more full bodied even though the AB is very full bodied. it was very hoppy with a very nice aftertaste that lingered happiness all over my tastebuds. it was an aggresive beer that stone brew is known for and they need to keep it up because aggression is what makes good beer of this style the best. great beer!! mitchgt (65) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - AUG 29, 2009
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2009 Best beer I’ve had in a while. A delicious, balanced red. Pours an attractive Sedona red color, with nice almost excessive head. Citrus bitter and floral hop but round. Crisp clean finish. Very nicely done. bigrond (1499) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2009
The catch all catagory of American Strong Ale. All those beers that don’t quite fit into the other catagories. This is a great beer. Looks dark, but tastes light. Had a strong hops finish for me. Seemed to get stronger as I drank. Great brew!! agillespie81 (315) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 10, 2009
Aroma - bold maltiness, caramel, toffee, floral notes;
Appearance - deep dark amber, almost opaque, fluffy cream head, excellent lacing;
Flavor - hop filled front, balancing malt back, finish has a slight citrus tang;
Palate - somewhat crisp, great body, mild alcohol warmth;
Overall - very powerful flavor, straightforward, not too complex for the style, enjoyable though.

Sybaritic auburn ale lolls seductively underneath, boldly straddled by a wanton blonde foam mane. A harem of hops whirls from the glass… daring pine, graceful grapefruit, sassy citrus… followed by flirtatious caramel and buxom barley... plus provocative glimpses of darting dark fruits and dusky deepest chocolate. Naughty malt binds my tongue in silken flavor, and sealing the knot with a stewed fruit kiss, fondles my taste buds as an athletic hop dominatrix spanks me with vigorous relish. A creamy palate befits the hedonistic excesses, and provides a zaftig counterpoint to the vampish carnality of biting lupulin. I bask in the lingering bittersweet afterglow, a musky memory of earth and spice. An unabashedly brazen brew, tantalizing and masterful, a gratifying challenge of indulgence and prowess. Spectacular! Hops made me cough and pleased me! I knew this would be fab when I poured this beautiful deep red ale. Can’t wait for my next. halfonit (1366) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 21, 2009
Nice deep brownish amber color. Aroma is full of floral hops, roasted barley, slight citrus, and pine. Taste is, well, excellent! Flavor is full of hops, roasted barley, pine, malts, and just a little bit of coriander. Leaves a smooth and bitter barley and hop aftertaste. This is one good brew. Another gem from our friends at Stone Brewing Co. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 17, 2010
