The beer is a hazy amber color with an off-white head. Starts off with a similar candied lemon peel aroma the regular version has. A sweet sugar and toffee note, lots of herbs, and a slight tea quality. Quite woody and herbal. The flavor is sweet and sugary as well as being overly herbal. Quite a bit of tea and candied lemon notes. A bit of alcohol, some bitterness on the finish, and very light rye. As with the regular version, I am not a fan. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 24, 2013
(Draught) Pours a cloudy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon, orange, grapefruit, tea leaves, and caramel. Flavor of lemon, lime, grain, herbal, tea leaves, and caramel with a bitter finish. slowrunner77 (12051) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 24, 2014
"An addition to the AV ale that added a layer of complexity and tastiness. I dug the green tea aspect, but it also covered up the lemon in the beer, which was already a little more hidden than I’d been hoping for. Good complex fresh iipa, though :)"

On tap at The Lackman. Served in a snifter, the first pour from the keg. Moving the keg seemed to have disturbed the yeast quite a bit, my pour was a completely cloudy faded orange / tan color. Good off white head. Leaves decent lace. Zesty, lemony citrus (grapefruit, some lemongrass) hop aroma. Very herbal with the green tea, it’s an interesting flavor. Nice bitter, zesty taste. Big, thicker body. Almost kind of creamy. Light smooth carbonation. Interesting, tasty beer to savor. It’s a green tea IPA... Makes me think of Terrapin’s Samurai Krunkles, which I thought was much more well put-together, with it’s lighter body, refreshing quality, and even bigger green tea flavor. Still a fine, hearty, and interesting brew though JohnnyJ (5562) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Draft at stone bistro. Golden orange pour with a slight haze and a white head. Citrus, caramel malt, sweetness, tea, and hop bitterness. Ok.
