Citrusy, perfume lemon hop aroma. Flavor is citrusy sweet spicy rye with lemon hints, grapefruit, mango. Signature stone hop overload. Very easy to drink. Alcohol is not detectable! Worked well in the current California end of summer heat. I would love it if this beer became bottled on the regular. I love it. Definitely one to drink fresh!! UPDATED: AUG 29, 2012 Bomber purchased from Red Carpet in Alta Loma. Aroma is lots of citrusy lemon notes along with a touch of honey. Pours a copper pour with white foamy head. Taste is initially bitter with lots of citrus as well. Wow this stuff is really bitter in the finish too. Not very balanced but damn this is yet another good hop bomb from STONE. Bomber split amongst friends. Really nice lemon presence mixed with a solid hop/malt balance. Wasn’t sure how the lemon oil would play into this but it seems to work pretty well. beersearcher (2383) - Glendale, California, USA - AUG 11, 2012
A really tremendous lemon aroma on this golden orange brew. Then the taste smacks you with what could be called an arrogant amount of rye spice with a hint of tart lemon underneath. Bitterness is in the mix too but is a third wheel to this rye IPA. One of the better IPA’s and beers that I have had in 2012.
