22 oz. bottle. Pours clear orange gold color with a thin soapy white head that fades to a soapy wispy film and collar. Aroma has soft floral herbal scents which are slightly minty and earthy flower. Taste has a crazy bitter hop flavor that turns right into a minty earthy flower and herbal characteristics, there is some spice/pepper which is probably from the mint. Palate is medium and drying with a warming finish. This is a complex beer with some not so common flavors. j12601 (10871) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - AUG 20, 2013
Sampled this at Campground Brewdown 2. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Big citrus hops, spicy menthol notes. Medium-bodied, spicy hops, cool citrus, malt and spicy earth. Big spicy citrus hops into a long herbal bitter finish. roacheater (43) - Alabama, USA - AUG 20, 2013
walk into the forest... walk DEEP into the forest... look around.. listen.. find an old pinetree.. find a very old pinetree.. locate the bright green tips.. grab a large handful of those needles.. shove them in your mouth and chew.. slowly, firmly.. until the bittersweet resin coats your teeth.. your tongue.. and your soul. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 20, 2013
Draft. Crystal clear amber body with medium off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, straw/grapefruit, some orange rind, light bread. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some grapefruit rind, light grass. Medium-full body, some resin. skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 20, 2013
Pours a bright light orange with a two finger white head which fades to nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, bready pilsner malts, sweet malts, and some tropical fruits. Taste is hoppy up front with some citrus, spicy pne, and tropical fruits, and then has some nice german malt notes on the backend with some bready pilsner malts and sweet malts. Has a medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, moderately bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a tasty, outside the box DIPA that is very unique and makes nice use of all german ingredients.

Soft aromas of pine, resin, herbs and a touch of vanilla. See through copper with no foam whatsoever. Strong bitter hops upfront with flavors of grapefruit, earthy pines, resin, burnt sugar and a strong metallic funk. Finish leaves resin, herbs and hops on the palate. Overall, delicious, bitter and complex. Bit of an odd metallic overtone but not bad at all. Congratulations Stone, on 17 years of epic. Sathorael (159) - Oceanside, California, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Pours light orange/ gold in color with dense white foam. Aromas of grassy/floral and spicy noble hops with a touch of crisp sweetness. Taste is malty and crisp with hints of toffee, floral notes, mild spice, sublte citrus and grass trimmings. Finish has a lasting, almost astringent, bittering. jeremugohio (94) - springboro, Ohio, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Nice golden pour. Excellent lacing. Aroma of light pine and oranges. Flashes of ruination during first SIP, but more those German pilsner malts shine through. Another quality IPA from Stone. jcos (1851) - Maryland, USA - AUG 19, 2013

Appearance: Pours a clear orange.
Aroma: Aroma of light hop.
Taste: Medium body, faint fruit, interesting mix of flavors.
Palate:Light body, light lingering aftertaste.
Summary: I enjoyed this beer, though I got nothing from the nose. I have a second beer, so will test out the nose more. An interesting combination of bitterness and flavors.
Pours golden orange with a thin white head and a light grassy aroma. Strong bitter body with a smooth mouthfeel and a slight alcohol burn at the finish. Slightly different ipa but very good.
