Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate citrus, floral notes, grass, and a touch of pepper. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a two tinger off-white head that has decent retention. There is a good amount of thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate pilsner malt, light honey, and a touch of fruit. The finish has moderate-heavy pine, floral notes, grass, light grapefruit, and a touch of pepper. it’s medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, it’s like a blend of an Imperail Pilsner and IIPA, Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Great idea that works out, grassy and big IPA bomb with sweet malts, awesome stuff, I’ve always really liked what stone does WabashMan (1024) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Pours a light copper with medium sized off white head. Nose is citrus and hops...good aroma that you can catch from a few feet away. Flavor is initially very piney, resin, before a burst of citrus followed by a drier hoppiness (probably the nobles kicking in). Long mouthfeel. mjg74 (3137) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Bomber from BevMo. Deep golden in color. Somewhat hoppy nose. Grains and maltiness as well. Grassy hop character up front. Hoppiness is somewhat mellow, yet sill there. Interesting take. baraciisch (3311) - California, USA - AUG 16, 2013
Yellow golden in color... Aroma is grassy, piney hops, lemon zest... Flavor is earthy and grassy, totally dry, with lingering bitterness... Notes of lemon and grains... Pils notes on finish... Interesting beer, crisp and enjoyable, totally outside the box

Draught @ Stone 17th Anniversary Brewers Reception, San Marcos, CAyngwie (17101) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2013
Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, grape, pine and peach. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium bitter with a warm, citrus fruity and piney finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
On tap at Stone 17th anniversary party. A clear one, golden in color and with a dense, off-white head. Pine cones, citrus peel and a faint touch of pale malts and alcohol. Full body, soft carbonation and some warmth. Quite bitter flavor, with a light malty background. Pine cones, citrus peel. Long, warm and bitter finish. Sure pleasant. 130816 Geokkjer (7640) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2013
On tap at Stone 17th. Pours golden with a creamy off white head. Aroma of peach, some vanilla, pine and malt. Flavor is sweety and hoppy with some berries, floral notes, some bitterness and pine. Medium body, average carbonation. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - AUG 16, 2013
I certainly expected more from this. The 16th was a welcome departure and this is just more of the same Stone. Hops and not much else. Cool name but give me Cali-Belgique over this and any other Stone IPA. arondee (601) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - AUG 16, 2013
Pours a golden orange color with a small white head. Alma is floral hops, biscuit, grass, and honey. The taste is sweet cereal and honey followed by a monstrously bitter hop after taste. The hops are actually really tasty but like with a lot of stone brews they go over the top and destroy your palate, especially as the beer warms up. The after taste is forever, like an oily scotch. The bitterness lingers and lingers. Another good double ipa from stone with an interesting hop.
