Pours a cloudy yellow orange color with a grapefruit citrus aroma. Taste is of bitter malt that you would expect from an IPA. Its a clean bitter taste that lingers on the palate just to remind you of the German hops. Another good beer from Stone. ilovedarkbeer (2742) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - DEC 2, 2013
Drink straight from the bottle hobo style. Raw honey, catty german hops, and plenty of balanced malt. Major kick on the back end. demitriustown (1192) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - NOV 30, 2013
Bomber: Aroma has got a nice hop texture, light grapefruit notes with some nice grassy textures as well. Appearance is a golden color with the slightest tinge of amber a white head that diminishes into a soapy film. Taste has got a nice intermingling hop notes with not a really big malt influence. Palate has got medium mouth feel with a nice hop note that lingers on into the after taste. Overall, I like it. Not the best Imperial IPA that I’ve had but pretty good. Pours a hazy orange yellow with a light tan head and good lacing. Aroma of honey. Taste is honey sweet with a caramel note followed by a stiff bitterness that warmly balances the flavor.

Pours one of the nicest golden oranges I’ve seen. Aroma is subtle with hints of hops and a nice malty tone. Taste is very hoppy up front with a toasted malt middle and a bitter finish that lingers. Palate is similar with a very nice mouth feel. Nicely balanced. A very hearty and "warm" IPA.

Pours golden / orange with a smallish white head. The aroma has sweet malt, grass, candy, floral hoppiness, mild pine and some alcohol warmth. The beer has a medium / full body that is grainy and husky and there is a decent amount of semi-soft carbonation. The flavor starts with big pils-like malt, some sweetness, grass and floral hops. The finish has more grassiness, sulfur and alcohol warmth. Very enjoyable. zvsn (2159) - ISRAEL - NOV 25, 2013
Bottle sample at Stone tasting. Clear golden with a white head, nice lacing on the glass. Aroma - mostly hoppy with pine, grass and citrus in the nose. Sweet, grass, floral, herbal, light alcoholic notes, light maltiness, long lasting bitter finish, very well balanced flavors. Medium-bodied, sticky on palate, easy drinking for 9.5ABV beer. Great. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 25, 2013
Bottle:   Orange hued straw, pale haze, thin to moderate frothy white head, fairly nice lacing.   Sweet tropical fruit up front, citrusy, a little burning alcohol on the nose.   Strong citrus hop presense on first sip, but also comes across as tropical without being too sweet.   Big malt body, fruity, citrusy, reminds me slightly of 15.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Assertive hop finish, citrusy, mildly sweet.   Very respectable.   Not as juicy as their 15, but still tasty! Bottle sample at a Stone tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Clear golden with a white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma, citric, grassy, piney and resinous. Flavor has some sweetish maltiness, a bit bready, and very tasty hoppiness, citric, piney, grassy and herbal, with a great strong bitterness. Medium-bodied, a bit chewy and heavy. Really nice. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - NOV 23, 2013
