More of a sweet malty aroma than a hoppy aroma. Semi-cloudy golden color with small white head. Definitely a unique hop profile, and I'm not sure how to define it...not citrusy, not particularly piney, maybe slightly floral? Has a sort of lasting mustiness to it. tobias (208) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 25, 2013
22 oz bottle: pour is an almost clear bright golden color. Tight white foam. Hoppy aromas comprised of citrus, herbs, resin, and pine dominate. Hints of bread and cereal. Favor is intense hoppiness up front with a malty backbone to balance the bitterness. Herbal, floral, citrusy flavors explode forward with toasty malt flavors playing the support role. Clean flavors. As someone who prefers American hops, i am a fan of this beer. Well balanced and easy drinking. hopmelt (197) - Painesville TWP, Ohio, USA - SEP 1, 2013
Pours golden, slightly hazy, finger thick white head, nice lacing. Aroma big noble hops, sweet pilsen malt, fruity esters. Taste bitter spicy noble hops, then the slight sweetness of pilsen malt shows up, then more spicy, peppery, slight onion hops. Mouth feel is on the thin side of medium body, good carbonation, very spicy, dry finish. Overall very good, unlike anything I?ve had, well made and very interesting. Decent head. Light golden. Balanced. Earthy hops, some pine, biscuity malt, slightly creamy. Fairly long earthy bitterness on the finish. Pretty good for what it is... tripelthreat (190) - Soquel, California, USA - OCT 8, 2013
Bottle. Pours golden with a small off white head that fades quickly. Nose is all kinds of savory herbs, rosemary being prominent, floral notes, bright lemon zest and some sweet grain. Flavor is moderately sweet with some strong bitterness. Spicy herbs and floral notes along with some doughy sweet malt and lots of bitterness that takes over and lingers. Grapefruit and pine flavors start to emerge after a few sips. Medium body. Pretty interesting but the some of the herbaceous notes imparted by those hop varieties aren’t my favorite.

Not an overwhelming DIPA but not pedestrian either. The unique aspects of its construction are a bit subtle and the most prominent feature is hop expression. Malt adds some flesh for a round but structured mouthfeel. tdoyledesign (179) - Michigan, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Pours one of the nicest golden oranges I’ve seen. Aroma is subtle with hints of hops and a nice malty tone. Taste is very hoppy up front with a toasted malt middle and a bitter finish that lingers. Palate is similar with a very nice mouth feel. Nicely balanced. A very hearty and "warm" IPA. JBoan (176) - Arizona, USA - AUG 25, 2013
Pours golden amber with white two finger head. Smells of huge hops, citrus, grapefruit, pine needles and floral notes. Taste is bitter floral hops, fresh grapefruit, pine and a resin finish. Not as balanced as other Stone beers. Clean hop refreshing beer, but not in the same category as RuinTen, and Ruination. zsb19 (168) - Cincinnati, Kentucky, USA - AUG 28, 2013
Pours clear golden with medium fluffy white head. Aroma is juicy citrusy hops with some sweet malty notes. Taste is floral and grassy hops upfront that fades into some sweet bready malt on the follow through. Aftertaste is lingering bitter spruce hops with some notes of sweet malt coming through. Palate is thin and somewhat sticky. Overall a nice balanced double IPA with sweet and bitter playing together nicely. thefle (167) - , New Jersey, USA - OCT 9, 2013
A good IPA, the hops are good but could be a bit stronger. Worth grabbing the bottle to try the series, would drink again.
