Not much more to say on this one, one smooth double IPA. Buttery, velvety texture and taste. Malt comes through, not covered by, but in concert with the hops. Very well done indeed. tobias (208) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 25, 2013
22 oz bottle: pour is an almost clear bright golden color. Tight white foam. Hoppy aromas comprised of citrus, herbs, resin, and pine dominate. Hints of bread and cereal. Favor is intense hoppiness up front with a malty backbone to balance the bitterness. Herbal, floral, citrusy flavors explode forward with toasty malt flavors playing the support role. Clean flavors. As someone who prefers American hops, i am a fan of this beer. Well balanced and easy drinking. Crash_the_dog (163) - Fairway, Kansas, USA - AUG 30, 2013
Beautiful blonde color with creamy head. Nice lacing and a gentle hoppy aroma. Balanced full flavor without being overwhelming. Really amazing beer.

Draft at World of beer Raleigh. Pours orange with an inch of white foam. Leaves a bit of lacing in the glass. Has a kind of fruity sweetness on the nose. The taste is pure tropical fruit with a hint of maltiness. Finishes clean. One of the more drinkable DIPA’s I’ve had so far. obguthr (6454) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - SEP 12, 2013
Powerful lilly and marigold aroma, with rosehip accents. Hazy amber, thin head. Drinks as divinely as it smells, marigold and lemongrass. Finishes with whole grapefruit. Intense and well balanced. Medium bodied and easily drinkable for 9.5 ABV. Very special.

Golden bier with lots of bubbles and a lasting, white head. Aroma is a little bit of earth and straw. Its very crisp on the palate and has a decidedly bitter taste with a little hoppy sweetness near the finish. Fresh and refreshinly unique. Ibrew2or3 (8660) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - SEP 21, 2013
22oz bomber pours with a crystal clear deep gold body that supports a white head of foam. The aroma is . . . hello rich Noble hoppiness. I get floral and dank spicy onion notes as well as earthy grassiness and some sweet candied lime. The taste starts by tossing up a load of rich deep sugary malt sweetened Noble like hops at ya all at once. These are Noble hops at a robustness and smoothness rarely attained, if ever, IMHO. I get floral, lime candy, earthy tea and some smooth dank onions that unleash loads of hop flavor and hop bitterness. Wonderful rich vibrant bitter and flavorful brew. Well executed. Love it. swesson (462) - Highlands Ranch, Colorado, USA - SEP 24, 2013
Bold IPA. More malty than usual which can be a nice change from the super-hopped beers of late! A bit lighter in color than most ipa's. Tangy taste. Smells faintly of citrus.

Slightly hazy golden color in the glass. Complex hop aroma with floral, slightly spicy, slightly fruity components. Rich and smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant sweetness. Excellent beer. borre_m (1667) - NORWAY - FEB 14, 2014
The aroma is of German hops, and more modern hops with aroma such as citrus and pine. There is also a slight malty sweetness in the aroma and you can also notice the 9.5 % ABV. This beer is a venture into the German malts and hops by Stone and I felt it was very successful.
Color is golden, slightly cloudy. When tasting you notice the hop bitterness. The beers I have tried by Stone have showed me that they are not shy of using hops, and this is no exception. Ther eis lots of hops, but it is still a balance there with maltiness and alcohol.
The mouthfeel is crisp, the body is medium and the foam holds up well.
