COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s no secret we helped create and popularize West Coast style IPAs (since 1997), Double IPAs (since 2000) & Triple IPAs (since 2006). In fact, IPAs of every ilk imaginable are our bread and (hop) butter at Stone Brewing Co., but we’ll be the first to admit that a night of subsisting solely on big IPAs can be a short one. Enter Stone Go To IPA, our session IPA, boasting all the gloriously bitter, citrusy, piney flavor of our bigger / industrial-strength IPAs, but with a significantly lower alcohol-by-volume (4.5%) allowing IPA fans like us to enjoy more of this amazingly, hoppy beer over a longer session, without giving up any of that gloriously crave-able botanically-driven dankness. Well, OK, when you compare to our bigger IPAs you find that you give up some, as that’s what happens when you dramatically lower the abv. And while we work hard to bend the time/space/abv intensity continuum, we’ve admittedly not yet learned to break it. This comes damn close though.

Note: EU ABV at 4.7%.

Can 33. Couleur orange limpide, mousse à fines bulles.

Golden color, lightly clouded with large white head, no lacing. Aroma is full of cirtusy hops, light malt sweetness, light dunkness and light stoned fruits too. Taste is hoppy mainly, with citrucy being the main player, maybe just a hint of caramel malts? Finish is nice and hoppy, with citrucy taste. Very nice brew, not anything too complex but very nice!

ERB92 (866) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 8, 2018
Aroma of tropical fruits, caramel and a hint of citrus and malt. Golden with a white head. Medium sweet and medium + bitter. Light to medium body with a average carbonation. Overall a nice, refreshing Session IPA. A bit thin, but still very enjoyable.

330ml Can. Pours 2/3 finger spacious and bubbly white head. Dissipates quickly.Hazy golden in appearance. Big pineapple and citric tones in the aroma. Freshness. Nice weighted mouthfeel for the abv- soft carbonation. Pine comes through nicely. Easy drinking, quaffable goodness! Edit: 1st can, canned on 23/02/18. 2nd can, canned on 07/12/17; opened in wrong order. 2nd can had lots of sediment flying around so produced more haze! Not sure if this was a change in recipe or just got the end of the canning line. No real difference in taste perhaps more mellow and softer hop for 2nd- which is to be expected with the date.
