Thanks to cquiroga again. This one pours with a golden orange body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma and flavor are sligthly sweet yet bitter with a slight tomato sauce note, a little grapefruit and a little pine. Medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry. jimbowood (1036) - Freeport, Georgia, USA - JAN 2, 2007
Tasted on draft @ the brewery. I wasn’t expecting such a large hop punch on a 6+ yr old IPA, but this one truly delivered. Nicely hopped w/ a little musty hop flavor due to the aging. WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 21, 2008
Tap @ Stone winter Storm 1/28/08, shared with bikesandbeer and my girlfriend Cyn. Pours orange with a bright white ring. Nose is sweet and hoppy. Taste is sweet, hoppy, mellow and bright with a bit of peachy quality to it. Marc (486) - Yokosuka, JAPAN - APR 10, 2005
Cinder toffee, hop funk, and grassy hops in the nose. Vinious malts, and a bit more toffee with the hops becoming a bit more assertive towards the end with an herbal bitterness. Sliding a bit closer to the charactor of a barley wine in its old age. CE619 (81) - san diego, California, USA - AUG 9, 2002
very hoppy, malty and syrupy. alcohol seems to be non existent--until it hits you later.

This Stone IPA is quite hoppy and has a yellow color it is has more hops flavor than the third and is quite strong. For people who like hops this is a very good beer to drink. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 13, 2009
Bottle shared by EDA as part of a complete vertical. This was a touch better than the 3rd anny, but not better than the 2nd. Sweet, dark bread dough aroma, caramelly sweet hop, sweet watery hop flavor. Pissy and dank, the flavor is still kind of there but still old tasting. A bit milky and lactic. Good IPA, not as strong an aftertaste as Dogfish Head. Very pleased with this one. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 29, 2009
Bottle shared by eyedrinkale at "Drink for Charity" event at Rattle N Hum. Hazy golden beer. Thin head. Aroma is more honeyed and sweet than the 3rd anniversary. The bitterness is still present, but there is a touch of apricot fruitiness with a bit of Belgiany, oxidized, sherryish notes. onelststnd (19) - Bakersfield, California, USA - NOV 13, 2005
I has heard wonderful things about this Stone IPA. I was left satisfied but not overly thrilled with its taste. It has sort of a fruity-sour taste to it.
