[ Courtesy of fiulijn ]. [ Vintage ]. Unclear matt medium to dark orange amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, nutty, light chocolate, wood notes, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
From tap at Stone Bistro. Pours hazy brown with a lacing light tan head. Chocolate dense aroma. Light breadish, caramel/chocolate in the initial flavour. Followed by a mild hops presence. Smooth and hoppy finish with a lingering chocolate malt flavour. Ungstrup (37954) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2005
A hazy red-orange beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol and lots of fruit - especially peach, but also some woody notes - reminds me of a sherry. The flavor is of anise, wood fruit - especially over ripe, cinnamon, and alcohol, that burns the mouth. The end is dry from a combination of wood and hops. joergen (28458) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 11, 2006

Bottled (thanks jjpm74!). Reddish amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is bready toffeeish along with some winelike notes. Oak and vanilla as well. Some slight alcohol. Flavour is raisins, bread, quite grassy along with some alcohol and spices. Has aged well! omhper (25262) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 21, 2004
Bottled, thanks hopsrus!
Dark ruby with richcreamy head. Coffee aroma. Sweet with soft mouthfeel. Raw and sugary, big on coffee. Oaky finish with medium bitterness. Has potential to age, but is too syrupy for me at this point. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 21, 2012
Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a cloudy opaque brown with a beige head. Sweet nutty aroma with some mellow hops and only a slight oxidization. Rich body, soft carbonation, nuts, vanilla, a little woody and licorice all-sorts - even chocolate with only a discreet bitterness in the finish. In pretty good shape for an 8 year old beer really! 200412 madmitch76 (25009) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2009
31st July 2008. Dark brown cloudy ale. Very smooth and mild. Not much carbonation. Smooth malt with a little creaminess and a hint of milk chocolate. Easy going finish with a whisper of hop bitterness. Does taste a little aged but that isn’t a bad thing in this case. fiulijn (20806) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 20, 2012
Courtesy of Per, a few years old bottle
It pours a brown color, with small head. Oxidized aroma of caramel, light phenol. Semi-sweet flavor of dark caramel, some oxidisation again; correct bitterness, but less that it should have been originally. Doesn’t age well.
