This beer has a very strong, sweet vanilla aroma. There is a little bite at the finish, overall is a really nice v-stout. ryanfolty (2585) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - MAR 18, 2013
March 18, 2013 - tap at brewpub. Dark brown pour with limited head and spotty lacing. Roasted malt and sweet vanilla in aroma and taste. Dry slight bitter finish. crossovert (13724) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 15, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 26, 2017 A solid vanilla stout. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium to low thickness, kind of thin but in a good way (like all WI stouts) Tons of vanilla. HighWine (959) - Whalezbro, Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2012
Tap flight at the brewery. An ok stout with moderate roast and heavy vanilla flavoring. Thin mouthfeel.

Tap at Stone Cellar. Opaque black, thin patchy head. Interesting overwhelming artificial vanilla flavor, I suppose as advertised. Medium bodied, rather brutal in it’s sweetness. Some chalky chocolate tones but overall pretty one-dimensional. Not sure how this became a staple beer, I’m way more than done after one. Chocolate cola tastes. Not so impressive, it is what it is.

Taste like cream soda. I love the vanilla taste. It’s different than any other stout I have tasted hans4805 (1) - Indiana, USA - FEB 22, 2012 does not count
Bottle. Dark brown with a decent head and little bit of retention. Vanilla and sweet malt in the nose. Medium bitterness, coffee, vanilla, roasted malts. Light to medium bodied. Tasty beer. BVery (11209) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - SEP 1, 2011
Tap at the brewhouse. Very dark brown/black pour, no head really. Nose is all vanilla extract. Thinner palate. Taste is kind of bland - vanilla is not as strong as it is in the aroma. deyholla (12021) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 24, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a near clear dark brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of vanilla that is backed by roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is full of a real nice vanilla note that dominates but is matched by a bit of dark chocolate and roasted malts. StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - AUG 15, 2011
Glass at the brewpub. Pours a nearly opaque black color with a small tan head. The aroma was of over-the-top vanilla and coffee. The taste, like the aroma, featured vanilla and sweetened coffee. The palate was full and smooth. Finished long with lingering vanilla. Overall: Way too much vanilla in this for my taste--this was vanilla bomb. I could not finish it.
