Hunters, Pori. Quite pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is anise, liquorice, raisins, mild toasted sweet notes too. Flavour is big time liquorice, mild toasted notes. A bit thin palate, though big time in flavour.
Bottled. Black, beige head. Distinct aniseed aroma. Sweet and full bodied with marzipan licorice and aniseed. Long salty bitterness. Vital and surprisingly drinkable, given it’s size. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 2, 2012

Opaque black beer, decent brown head. Smooth palate with a little fine carbonation. Smooth dark malt, not roasty or bitter. Trace of coffee and a nice amount of aniseed. Finishes with tangy dark malt. Not bad but this experiment is lacking something to bring it all together.
Draught at Churchkey. Dark chocolate, roasted coffe, dark fruits in the aroma and taste. Straightforward stuff.
