jbruner (4745) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JUN 5, 2017
Pours an opaque black from the magnum bottle with thin ring of bubbly tan head. Aroma of dark roast, a hint of oxidation, sweet nuttiness, and lactose cream. Taste is like an imperial version of the Maui coconut porter, no oxidation, way more nut, chocolate and vanilla, thinner like a porter with booze well hidden. Really a treat.

Bottle; pours dark brown with a beige head; aroma of toasted coconut, chocolate, roasted malt, and a hint of nuts; taste is sweet, much like a macaroon cookie with some roasted malt and hazelnut notes; dry, roasty finish; very good

Gluepot (640) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2017
A massive porter featuring shaved coconut, toasted macaroons, toffee, coffee and smooth chocolate. Serious punch and density for a porter, imperial or not. A nice launch for Stone Berlin.

Black body, with a big, creamy, lacing, dark beige head.
Aroma of cocoa, coffee, coconut, caramel, liquorice, dark fruits.
Tastes quite similar, with some more cocoa,
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes medium roasty, wooden, with cocoa powder, liquorice, some coconut.

Very nice. Smooth and well balanced, while I’m missing some more character. Still a nice sipper and well drinkable for the ABV.
