Sample from 65 cl. bottle. Dark, amber colour with a creamy, lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with rich caramel malts, dark malts, sweet fruits, liquorice, coffee, spices and nuts. Light hints of alcohol. Very good. Taste is light sweet. Medium to full body with a creamy texture. Finishes drying with rich fruits and caramel malts. Bottle 65 cl. Pours brown with an orange hue and a beige head. Warm alcohol aroma, oddly spicy - even medicinal and herbal. Rich, sweet body, nuts and burned caramel with a massive hop and alcohol impact. Not so much aromatic hops, more bittering, some sweet licorice. Unusual and interesting. 081114 slowrunner77 (12569) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 25, 2014
"really nice pulling together of 13 different types of malt in this beer, including two distinct chocolate malts. The hops, while aggressive, seemed a bit muddled, like maybe a combo of these 13 was a bit much. loved the bite of this beer...loved the flavor, especially the chocolate roasty sweetness, and liked the aroma (shows a little more alcohol than the flavor). not a world beater, but pretty nice."

Bottle. Aged 28 months in a wine cellar. Dark brown color with lasting tan head. Nutty, dark fruit, toasted caramel, leather aromas. Smooth full body. Dark fruit, coffee, dark caramel flavors with leather, dark toast----warming lightly boozy finish____good. PartyFowle (954) - - SEP 2, 2014
Bottle into a snifter.
Caramel becomes a dark chocolate brown in the glass, obscurant. Half a finger of sandy tan head fades to a silky ring quickly.
The aroma is constantly shifting; I pick up something different upon each pass. This time, coffee beans, milk chocolate and toast; next time, vanilla and red grapes.
Much sweeter here, with raisins and figs up front. A dash of cinnamon is met with sweet caramel, toasted bread, bread pudding, tobacco. Reminds of a sweet hookah. Lingering coffee and dark chocolate.
Hefty medium full body, made thick with malt sugars. Alcohol sure is noticeable at 11 percent, numbing the tongue and flowing through the nose a bit. Heartburn as well. Moderate carbonation pinches the tongue but holds together well as it moves.
Maybe a bit different a year after bottling, but interesting. Lots of malt complexity. Heavy, hard to have more than a glass.

Dark color, almost black, with small compact head. Aroma of cocoa and dark malt. Good body structure; nice malty flavor, on the dark side obviously, with chocolate; moderately sweet; but the presence of liquorice brings to mind the oxidization and spoils a bit the experience. Strong but balanced bitterness.
Very good beer as usual.
