Smooth round body with, oak dominating the flavor with cherry, dark fruits, buttered toast, marmite with some underlying citrus. Nice carbonation and mild warming finish. A: Cloudy red with a thin white head. Lacing.
N: Big cherry, lemon zest, yeast, diacetyl, burnt grain, esters, oak, sage.
T: Slight sourness surrounded by big bitterness.
M: Resinous, medium body, dry.
O: A beer that shows more wine barrel than Belgian IPA character. I don’t know that I’d have it again. Very oaky, without any the flavors i enjoy in the original.
Tap @ The BeerMongers... Poured pale, hazy yellow with a mild head. Aroma of earthy hops with vinous fruit. Belgian yeast played nicely with the wine barrel characters. With some age bitterness was low a nice fruity tones from the barrel and yeast. marcus (10736) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAY 4, 2014

Draft. Malty hop aromas. Bitter hop with a bit of oak. The red wine really dries out the finish. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 24, 2014

Draft at the Stone Company Store in Pasadena. Slightly hazy dark yellow pour with a nice thick white head. Spicy nose with hints of oak and red fruit. Really nice taste, lots of hops some slight tannins in the finish. Pleasantly dry and bitter finish. If anything, I would like a bit more barrel character.
