COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When reading the name “Stone Cali-Belgique IPA”, “Cali” hints that it is a California style IPA, and this brew has an undeniable Belgian influence, indicated by the word “Belgique” (which is how Belgium’s French-speaking population says the word “Belgian”; the Dutch speaking Belgians say “Belgie”). We carefully selected a Belgian yeast strain that illuminates a fascinating new aspect of the beer that is otherwise quite simply Stone IPA.

The result is both completely new and different, while still being recognizable as a Stone Brew – and Stone IPA in particular. Think of it as an otherwise identical twin to Stone IPA that was raised in a Belgian culture. Literally.

Aroma of hops and citrus exquisitely floral reminding you hops is a flower. Appearance: an orange tinged amber, quite light but when held to the light show an obvious orange tinge. Palate: While nothing to writ home about for a beer of it’s complexity and aroma it is not at all thin Overall: A fantastic brew good for people new to truly tasting beer as it has no overly assertive flavor nor bitterness yet will satisfy a very distinct highly regarded palate. Put simply me and my father (who’s favorite beer is coor’s light which i kind of hate) can agree this is damned fantastic

Keg Third of a Pint at BrewDog, Shepherds Bush, London in April 2016 - Clear Orangey Gold in colour. Good creamy off-white head. Excellent lacing. Very Fruity; orange and grapefruit citrus. Yeasty. Spicy; coriander and pepper. Hoppy; piney hops. Bitter yeasty citrus fruity spicy throughout. Interesting beer. Yeasty Belgian Ale meets citrus fruity IPA. Nicely done. Tasty. Good Belgian IPA! Can at DØE US tasting. Yellow with a white head, a real gusher. Aroma medium hoppy (floral, tropical), light malty (biscuit). Flavor light sweet, heavy bitter, piney, grassy, long lasting, dry. Light body, heavy carbonated.

CAN 33 CL. Hazy deep golden, soapy white head. The aroma is right in the middle between a fruity and spicy Belgian Ale and citrusy hops. Same with the taste - hints of stone fruit and spicy alcohols on one hand, sweet citrus and caramel malts on the other. Spicy peppery bitterness. Not bad, not sure the hybrid improves on either of the original styles.

Bottle from beerlovers Vienna. A bit hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma is nice combination of hops and belgian yeast. Fruity, orange, floral and notable banana and some spicy tones from yeast. Taste is simillar, fruity, banana. High bitterness. Bitter aftertaste. Pleasant carbonation. Well ballanced. Good one.

Can. Clear golden color, airy white head. Spicy hop aroma. Fruity flavor with some bready malts, hop bitterness and aniseed (cough syrup?). Alcohol in the finish. Medium-full body, medium carbonation. I think I prefer the "other sister".
