Light copper body and wonderful ivory head in retention. The aroma is undeniably STONE IPA, but a twist…. Spicy esters, mango, guava, grapefruit… the dry-hopping is SO fresh and aromatic that it’s near euphoric! Yet the phenols are a bit shrill.
The flavor is tropical fruit and citrusy zest. Sticky palate, Ahhh…. I’m in love!

Appearance: pours clear golden with powerful white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, citrus, grapefruit and some spicy notes. palette: medium us hoppy aroma, average to light sparkling carbonation, medium body, medium sweetness, balanced by a notable bitterness, average duration and a watery texture. Overall: Nice IPA with some light Belgian yeast notes.

Nice, continuous foam. Aroma is flowers, yeast and ripe banana. The taste is discreetly light caramel, which quickly transforms into a delicious bunch of ripe bananas, light flower, mango, orange peel, grape and passion fruit. The hop is medium and carry the malt balance in a good way. Half dry aftertaste where the malt is not lost, yet maintains the hop bitterness, like an IPA, and puts its footprint on the fruity way that American hops are known for. But why should it bear the name of a Belgian IPA? I have never understood what it means, besides that it also has the slightly indefinable taste of yeast and spices that are often characteristic of Belgian beer. So, at the same time as its clear aroma, yeast is probably the only Belgian touch I can find. Well, it's an elegant and tasteful IPA, whether its origin is American or Belgian. Pours clear Tripel-like golden with a frothy, collapsing, white head. The aroma contains yeast, flowery hops, spices, banana (even some faint, undisturbing and hardly artificial bubblegum), mango, grapefruit and passionfruit. It tastes light fruity & malty sweet (more banana) and medium to heavy hoppy bitter; dry, hoppy, bit yeasty finish. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy to soft carbonation. Great cross-over!
Can at home. Pours deep yellow with a persistent bubbly head about one finger thick. Lazy light carbonation. Aroma almost wheat-beer like – spicy funky banana. In the mouth, some banana, spice and hops plus strong soapy/hoppy finish which is relatively short-lived. Punchy grass and some juicy fruit but a little soapy.
The mouthfeel of this is too hot – Admittedly not a huge fan of Stone beers which I often think are a bit unnecessarily brash, but knocking a percent off this would be much more palatable.

Appearance is cloudy golden, with a 1-2 finger pure white head. Aroma- Belgian yeast, spices, banana, orange peel, grapefruit, malty hints. Taste- hops, spicy notes, orange, hints of grapefruit and pineapple, bitter hop resin, bready malt undertones. Smooth mouthfeel, bitter at the end. Can from Fountainhall Wines. Pours a clear vibrant gold with a nice fluffy off-white head. Got to admit, it looks delicious. Aromas have a soft sweet banana and mild fudge. A gentle dry peppery warmth and a fresh summer berry cordial. The dry spice is more prominent in the flavours but it’s a stand out fruity profile that stands tallest. A real nice bittered leafy hop balances the fruit. A soft medium body with a crisp sparkle. It’s really refreshing. I struggle to believe the difference the choice of yeast makes to a recipe’s outcome. Everything feels balanced and fruity with a dry freshness. I reckon I prefer this to standard Stone IPA but I definitely need another to confirm.
