I was expecting bland blueberry ale. In the nose I got some nutmeg, gingerbread, and toffee to go along with the blueberry. Cloudy orange color with a white thin head. sweet crystal malt with mild restrained blueberry and mild fruity esthers. balanced sweetness, a bit of the gingerbread. Was expecting to be disgusted and I enjoyed this one beerking99 (199) - Virginia, USA - JUL 9, 2003
Great blueberry aroma. slightly cloudy, which is OK for a fruit beer. This is a fruit beer, with true fruit flavor, and where you can actually taste the beer! Light body makes it real refreshing on a summer day. vwsteggie (684) - Paxton, Massachusetts, USA - APR 6, 2003
Has a yellow color and a blueberry smell. Taste is of blueberries and finishes pretty thin and slightly bitter. Overall this is not a good example of a blueberry beer. Volgon (2763) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 17, 2002
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2004 On tap Boston Beer Summit '02: Artificial (although nice) berry aroma, watery palate, straw yellow color with no head, ends a bit bitter, although 'weak' is the one word that I would sum it up with.
