Hazy straw pour. Citrus and spice aroma. Not much bitter, some sweet, a little sour. Spice and citrus flavors, but not much. FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2011
From Matt at 3R6P. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy yellow color with a huge foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left some lacing. The aroma was clove. lemon, bubblegum and an unfortunate sulfuric undertone. The flavor was dry and tart with notes of chalk, cardboard and lemon with a strong medicinal and sulfuric presence that overwhelmed. The finish was unfortunately long. Medium body. Unpleasant. propsync (35) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 7, 2011
Straight up and down with this one. Bananas and clove with a little funk on top. Traditional hefe haze. I got a slight sour lemon taste to it. Nothing over or underwhelming here. Jkripp (141) - Washington, USA - FEB 1, 2011
Stone Cat is a hazy golden yellow. Its mellow citrus and banana aroma reflects the taste. It is light-bodied with both a light sweet and sour taste. Just a standard hefeweizen for when you want one. thornecb (6018) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 21, 2009
Pours a chill-hazed gold into a weizen. White head quickly recedes to hug rim. Gym clothes and clove aromas. Crisp, dry and thin with mild banana from front to back. MIld lemon in the finish.

12oz bottle-pours a white ring for a head and hazy yellow/gold color. Aroma is clove, lemon, sweet light malt/wheat, occasionally some wood/smoke. Taste is plenty of clove/pepper, lemon, sweet light malt/wheat, some spice hops. Thaichile (599) - 10aFly, New Jersey, USA - JUL 20, 2006
Bottle. Pours a cloudy, golden yellow. Nice, but quickly disappearing white head. Yeast around the inside of the bottle opening. Nose is citric with some banana in the background. The overwhelminging flavor was lemon which kept those sweet banana esters from escaping even though they did rattle the jailhouse doors. This got better as it warmed but those typical hefeweizen flavors were not completely released. Some spice. This beer has potential but requires more body and balance. On tap @ the Eaglebrook Saloon rebadged under as EagleBrook Hefeweizen. Great nose, classic banana & clove with a sweet corny, bubblegummy thing. Cloudy golden orange color, No head or lacing. Sweet spicy flavor, banana, clove mainly, but has some citusy bite to it. Lemon/lime kind of. Lite body, creamy mouthfeel, spicy dry finish. Easy to drink Hefe. Again way too cold, but hey what can you do. Assuming the rebadge as the bartender, who said he is the owners brother, wasn’t sure about that fact. UPDATED: NOV 10, 2004 2004 bottle. Very hazy straw yellow mixed with some darker golds. Bottle conditioned. Small white head, rapidly disippating. Quite fizzy. Smells lightly sweet (corn, bubble gum, clove). Flavor is sweet, but not overbearingly so. There is a spritzy carbonation to this, that adds a pleasing texture, and while the body may be a bit underdeveloped, the clove and bubble gum taste real enough to keep this one afloat. Ends quickly and cleanly. A pretty good beer all around, great as a session hefeweizen and perhaps a deeper flavor than some of the above-average examples. I see where they’re going with the summer session thing, but I really would like this beer more with a bigger body and perhaps a hint more balancing hops. jimhilt (2620) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 9, 2004
Pours with a one-finger bubbly white head that fades to a ring leaving some lace. Ton of yeast left in bottle. Cloudy amber color. Light bodied. Nose is yeasty. Light carbonation. Starts sweet, yeast is right there in your face mixed with some hops. Good on a hot day (92) like today. $1.80 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, Ma.
