3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Stone Cellar Brewpub. The problem, for me, with Kolschs and other similar types is that appearance, aroma and flavor are always secondary emphases. This is a nice, crisp, clean beer. It’s light in appearance, aroma, and flavor. Very much a light lager.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
On tap at the brewpub as simply "the kolsh," pours a clear pale orange with no head and no discernable flavors or aromae. An unremarkable, sacrificial light beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draught at the Stone Cellar brewpub as Summer Sun Kölsch. Pours a clear golden straw colored brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates to a thin ring and some spotty lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, some flowery hops with a touch of honey. Taste is light bodied, some golden grain malt, a touch of husk texture and some slight biscuit flavors. Finish is semi-dry with a grassy hop and golden grain aftertaste.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Stone Cellar brewpub. Golden yellow with a medium white slowly dissipating head. Aroma is kind of vegetal with some sweetness mixed in. Taste is somewhat vegetal too with some sweetness and mild hops mixed in. Heavily malted body is smooth and finish is mildly bitter and krisp.
