This beer is full of hot chili peppers. I did not like the taste of it at all. I love how it stimulates my brain though.
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2016 "This barreled version of Crime (and it’s big brother Punishment) are hands down THE best spiced/pepper beers I have ever had. I have a feeling I’d really like the non-barrled versions as well, but the blend of the very nice base brew with all it’s hoppy goodness, scotch barrels, and of course, farm fresh hot (think Habanero among others) peppers was just fan-freaking-tastic. 500 ml bottle picked up by brew3crew. Pours a clear dark amber brown with no head. The aroma is sweet malts, green and mildly hot pepper, light smoke and light barrel notes. Bottle. Poured hazy brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy dark, whiskey and hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting beer.

500ml bottle, shared by brew3crew. 2012 Vintage. Hazy darker brown color, kind of amber. Couple loose dots of lace. Interesting, big aroma. Vegetal and peaty. Light chile spicy kick crests in the finish. Satisfyingly spicy, but not nearly as big as punishment. Some nice citrus zest works well with the chile. Sweet taste up front, with a spicy chile kick that’s sequestered to the finish. Bigger body. Light, smooth carbonation. Slightly sticky.. But I love that big, long spicy finish. Fantastic stuff. 500 ml bottle to snifter (2012 vintage; muled for the group by brew3crew). Looks solid; a semi-transparent caramel with no real carbonation or head/lacing to speak of. Bottle @ Oakquinox, must have got the last of it. Incredibly milky, turbid brown pour with no real head. The nose is all fresh, green pepper and heat. Very mild scotch. Perhaps some grass and earth. A bit of a garbage note, too. The flavor is insanely hot and spicy. Tons of chili pepper and note much else. deep red. Off white half finger head. Malty hops on the nose, with a hint of pepper. Flavor is excellent. Nice heat on the finish, and whiskey aftertaste. With fresh pepper, and lukcy bastard notes to start. Very complex and enjoyable.
