You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers- especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs- we’ve taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We’ve not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you’re getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn’t randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the bottle, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and beer fans. Instead, we’ve sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

Beergaard (387) - Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 13, 2017
Good beer, good concept. Loads of citrus, tropical fruit and grass on the nose. Taste follows up with sharp pleasantly bitter hops. Some nice sweet alcoholic heat just before the bitterness kicks in.

kajser27 (2183) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 16, 2017
Clear, orange-yellow colored, medium frothy white head, nice lacing and good lasting. Aroma is of pine, citrus, fruity, some pale and caramel malt, moderate+ aroma. Taste is medium+ sweet malt, caramel, medium+ pine, citrus and fruity hops, medium+ bitterness, dry finish. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, oily-resiny. Enjoyed a week after the date, some notes of age already noticeable. (bottle, from Stone Berlin)

MacNJ (126) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 15, 2017
This beer boggles my mind! It’s light, fresh, refreshing. It has a nose/taste of lemongrass and pepper. Seems like a crushable summer beer. When I worked at Flying Fish, Casey Hughes told me that an IPA is the hardest style to brew in order to strike that malt and hop balance. These guys are at the top of their game producing a beer at 9.4% without a hint of booze, whiskey, etc. There is nothing harsh about this brew. Goes down like a 6.5% ABV. Unbelievable. Cheers!

Pours clear golden amber with a white head. Strong aroma of hops and grapefruit. . Absolutely delicious.

tightslice (1536) - Redwood City, California, USA - JUL 6, 2017
Bottle from Safeway in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is bright citrus, wet tropical islands. Taste is fresh citrus with a meaty fruit feel. Nothing too original here but Stone always seems to do it right.

ChadPolenz (1847) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - JUL 4, 2017
DOC: 5/29/2017

2015 BJCP Category: 22A Double IPA

AROMA: Prominent hop aroma of American/New World varietals. Citrus, stone fruit, white grape all seem to be aromatics. Clean, bright nose overall. Malt base is nondescript. No alcohol presence. 10/12

APPEARANCE: Flame orange hue; very hazy. Moderate off-white foam. 3/3

FLAVOR: Orange citrus throughout with a sherbet or sweet orange peel taste on the first half. Strong bitterness throughout, but becomes a dry bitterness at the peak, followed by more fruity flavors (tropical, white grape) on the finish. Alcohol taste and warmth is a significant part of the palette, but not hot. Slight astringency between the hops and alcohol. Malt base creates for enough sweetness for balance, but has no significant character. 15/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium-full body; medium carbonation. Smooth texture; no challenge to drink at 9.4% ABV. Slight alcohol warmth is tolerable. 4/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Yet another very good DIPA from Stone, but it’s been done. 8/10

Grovlam (4257) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 2, 2017
Draft in San Antonio the friendly spot. Large fizzy white head. Light cloudy yellow color. Aroma of peach, grape, pine, fruit, caramel, grain. Full body with a dry texture. Moderated bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering dry bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beachmaster (580) - Oklahoma, USA - JUN 30, 2017
on draught. Pours a clear orange amber, with a moderate white head that persists and leaves good lacing. Nose is citrus and hops. Taste is similar, with enough malt backbone to balance the hoppy finish. Nice.

Bricktop86 (999) - Moore, Oklahoma, USA - JUN 24, 2017
Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is citrus, resin, and tropical fruit. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter.
