Pour oily black with minimal head. Aroma is chocolate, roast and vanilla. Taste is sweet chocolate with bitter coffee working in. Finish is all about the whiskey. A great, complex stout. donandres (687) - Makati, PHILIPPINES - NOV 8, 2017

The aroma is light, a little bourbon some vanilla. Pours a dark brown with dark tan head mostly diminishing and excellent lacing. The taste is a medium bitter. The body is medium/full, the texture creamy, the carbonation soft and the finish bitter and long. Very Good! Smooth body, great taste and bitterness is well balanced. tiong (7754) - Espoo, FINLAND - NOV 4, 2017

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20171103) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, whisky, vineousness and vanilla. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, vineousness, whisky, wood, vanilla and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, burnt and bitter. A well done barrel aged brew. puboflyons (3531) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 26, 2017
From the 650 ml. bottle with a bottling date of 6/28/17. Serving about 40 degrees. Near jet black pour with a modest, tan head that fades. Big roasted malt aroma with dark fruits akin to plums or raisin. Slightly burnt or smoky sensation. It is 13% but the booze aromas are not as pungent as I expected. The body is full with a heavy texture. The taste has a bold sweetness with an alcohol burn that is more notable in the flavor than on the nose. A real slow sipper. Aroma is lots of booze, barrel presence, taste is very smooth, vanilla is definitely present, burnt notes from the barrel, very good. Capa (3631) - DC, Washington DC, USA - OCT 10, 2017
Black with a deep head. Chocolate, roasted malt, booze, light bourbon, molasses. Light nuts and a little spice. Full bodied. Powerful. Tasty. colui72 (1161) - HONG KONG - OCT 8, 2017
Verision 4.0. Pitch black, thick pour, big fluffy tan head, some spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon-like vanilla and wood. Very smooth and creamy to the lips, well balanced between sweet and bitter, roasted malts, chocolate fudge, bourbon, wood. Lingering flavours, booze just appears in the end. Thick body, sticky, smooth, low carbonation and long finish. Great ale.
