Aroma sweet. Beautiful pour black with tan head. Body of a barleywine, tastes like Beverly crushers snatch. I know, I’m sharing a bottle with Patrick Stewart. finish it’s giving me chocolate notes that weren’t there at the beginning. And the rye that came through earlier is beginning to wane.

Bottle from Specs in Galveston Beach pour opaque black with moderate mocha head. Nose mineral chocolate, molasses, raisin, light earthy. Taste dark roast coffee, burnt chocolate, light red fruit, sweet chocolate as well, then late vanilla and oak. Some earthy finish. Syrupy mouth feel. Pecan in the aftertaste.

Nose keeps the booze out. Hops and malts both present. Taste is lighter for a stout. Bourbon and pecan. Finish isnt as smoth as hoped but still a damn fine brew.

Black. This beer was a bit of a mess. Choppy, non-integrated elements. Chocolate, rye are most prominent. Sweet soy.

650 ml. bottled 06/23/2017. Deep brown-black body with a thin topping of cream. Aroma of bread, molasses, cocoa powder plus a bit of barrel and whiskey. Flavors of chocolate, toasted nut, toasted wood, caramel, whiskey and mint. Heavy body is smooth with medium carbonation and a decent balance. A little booze showing but not overbearing.

Black pour with a two finger tan head. Aroma is nutty, dark fruit, roast, dark sugar and light herbal notes. Flavor is dark fruit, molasses, dark caramel sweet nutty notes, light roast, cooked berries and stone fruit. heavy body slick to creamy feel, light carbonation. Good, kinda sweet and not terribly complex for such a strong beer, but tasty.

Version 2013 vom Fass im Stone Brewing Berlin 2016-11 getrunken. Hier wird man immer gern zum Wiederholungstäter! Geiles cremiges Stout das auch ohne ein Gewürz- oder BA-Feuerwerk der Aromen absolut überzeugen kann. Ich mag es!

Keg at Andrew Usher’s. Black body with a thin tan head that gradually fades. Faint lacing. Aroma of shoe polish, burnt marshmallow and fig. Flavour of raisins, coffee, roasted malt and a spicy finish. Medium to full body with a chewy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. The booze is evident but for the ABV it goes down easy.

Draught at Brewdog Berlin. Black with a tan head. Aroma of toasted wood and dark fruit. Flavour is dark roasted malt, coffee, toffee on a roast creamy malt finish.
