On tap at Taco Mac. Pours deep walnut with mocha head which dissipated fairly quickly. There is little lacing. Malty Roma with the sweetness of bourbon (but actually fairly subtle) along with oak and cherries. Taste is sweet with the bourbon flavor more pronounced than in the aroma, yet not overwhelming. Oak and dark fruit permeate as well. Full bodied with an oily, slick mouthfeel and low carbo. Overall, really nice beer - bourbon barrel aged, but the bourbon only plays a supporting role here - although becomes more pronounced as the beer warms. Abv of 13 percent is well hidden, but warms you up!

2015 version was sampled on 1/14/17. Plenty of vanilla, pecans, dark chocolate and bitter coffee notes. Smooth and easy to drink a very nice brew, thanks for the bottle Bob!

Kran w Brewdog Warszawa. Barwa czarna nieprzejrzysta. Piana tworzy się jedynie na obwodzie szkła. Aromat średnio intensywny. Czekolada gorzka, kakao, belgijskie praliny. W smaku podobnie lecz z większą mocną i intensywnością. Przyjemny trunek.

Dark and muddy brown with big tan head that disapates quickly leaving minimal lacing. Smell whisky, rye bread, roasted malts, vanilla & sweet pecans. Taste chocolate, rye whiskey, cocoanut & dark fruits. Silky smooth especially for 13% ABV.

Kran w BrewDog Warszawa. Aromat miło kakaowy i czekoladowy, niestety zaraz za nim pojawia się alkohol. Smak dosyć słodki, lekko gorzki. W smaku czekolada, trochę vanilia, Mo i ten alkohol, gryzie i przeszkadza. Niestety, przydało by się żeby trochę poleżał jeszcze.

Kran w Carpe Kwaft. Jest kawowo-czekoladowe, beczki wyczuwalne bardziej w aromacie, ale też nie robią aż takiej roboty, jak można było oczekiwać. Alkohol trochę za bardzo wyczuwalny, ale nie ma dramatu.

Bottle from Craftissimo. Drank w Matt at home on Xmas eve 2016. Pours an opaque brown-black with a thick creamy tan head that dissipates. Smells of spicy dark malt, moderate grassy bitterness, nutty, some wood and breadiness, bourbon, lots of booze, tiny bit of soy sauce and smoke. Taste is heavy acidic dark roast malt, moderate chocolate, moderate to heavy bitterness, sweet and herbal and a bit acidic. Body is medium to thick, oily, slightly sticky/chewy, low carbonation, somewhat sharper sweetish finish. Huge beer, lots of booze and spice, good though a little too sharp.

Bottle from Craftissimo at home on Christmas Eve. Pitch black pour with dense and short lived tan head. Aroma is rich vanilla and oak, dark roasted fruit, chocolate, little bit licorice. Taste is huge booze and roasted malt bomb. Vanilla and some faint nuttiness definitely present. Sharp bitterness followed by dark fruit and nut and boozy vanilla bitter finish. Silky rich but not heavy palate. Huge beer. Way better than expected.
