Wow, Wesley Crusher can brew a mean beer. This is a great collaboration, and is now added to my favorites. Cybercat (5887) - Georgia, USA - SEP 5, 2015
Comes out of tap warm coffee-sable with a thick chocolate-milk head. Aroma has notes of bourbon, wood, coffee, molasses, well-roasted malt and semi-sweet chocolate. Bold flavor has bourbon for the headliner and co-stars chocolate, roast malt, coffee, molasses and wood. It is rather sweet but not cloying. Viscous texture has plenty of fizz and leaves a sweet finish with bourbon, chocolate and roast malt in attendance. Another perfecta! polo_marco (332) - milton, Vermont, USA - AUG 9, 2016
Smells of French toast and coffee chocolate and other baked goods. Silky midnight black in color with small cream color head light lacing. Taste is amazing sweet smooth roasted malts followed by huge hints of vanilla and a touch of milk chocolate to finish the flavor profile. Booze is hidden very well for the ABV. Full creamy body with nice carbonation for this phenomenal brew. Love this stout my favorite ever need more stout like this out there instead of one noted stouts. Badass brew west cost owns the stout game. PugUglyBrewer (692) - - AUG 17, 2016
midnight black color and 13% ABV impressed upon me that this was going to be a monster of a stout but it took me by pleasant surprise with a velvety texture that is medium bodied instead of chewy. The foam disappeared quickly, which seemed a bit contrary to style but nonetheless an incredible balance of flavors of nuttiness, chocolate, coffee, caramel and a bit woody that hide the 13% very well. Aroma of deep, smoked malts, wood, oak and roasted molasses with a more faint hint of almonds/pecans behind it. Solid black appearance with beautiful lacing and little foam. Massively complex with pecan, walnut, maple syrup, slick, melted caramel and chocolate upfront with a second phase of espresso, toffee, alcohol and continuous nutty notes. Overall, this is a masterpiece. Stone has outdone themselves with this one. This is one of the greatest Imperial Stout’s I have ever had. Delicious, decadent, delectable and rich. This is a must have. I’d give this an easy A+ rating.

Bottle. Pours a near black color with a very small thin light brown head on it. Nose has just a hint at some bourbon in there, but with some nice roasting coming through. The taste is roasting dominant and very warming to the palate and throat. Goes down super smooth. Very nice. AskForJenny (1086) - Ontario, New York, USA - SEP 24, 2013
750 ml - I wouldn’t change anything. Black oil, no carbonation, layers of flavor with hops on back. wlajwl (6879) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - AUG 23, 2013
Aroma is fruitcake/fruit/raspberries, wheat, dark malts and vinous notes. The flavor is fruitcake, raspberries, dark malts, vinous notes and a very long and tart/alcoholic finish. Was expecting this to be pretty good and realize I underestimated it, wow this was awesome. viyh (73) - San Luis Obispo, California, USA - SEP 21, 2013
This is one tasty beer! Thick on the tongue and complex flavor required multiple sips to get the full span of complexities. A nice balance of sweetness, darkness, and body. I highly recommend this one! Sandler (10) - - MAY 6, 2014
This is definitely a stout for people who like sweet stouts. Heavily pecan-scented and smooth -- almost too smooth, given the high alcohol content. It’s very easy to drink this beer too quickly, so be careful.
