COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its no secret we helped create and popularize West Coast style IPAs (since 1997), Double IPAs (since 2000) & Triple IPAs (since 2006). In fact, IPAs of every ilk imaginable are our bread and (hop) butter at Stone Brewing Co., but well be the first to admit that a night of subsisting solely on big IPAs can be a short one. Enter Stone Go To IPA, our session IPA, boasting all the gloriously bitter, citrusy, piney flavor of our bigger / industrial-strength IPAs, but with a significantly lower alcohol-by-volume (4.5%) allowing IPA fans like us to enjoy more of this amazingly, hoppy beer over a longer session, without giving up any of that gloriously crave-able botanically-driven dankness. Well, OK, when you compare to our bigger IPAs you find that you give up some, as thats what happens when you dramatically lower the abv. And while we work hard to bend the time/space/abv intensity continuum, weve admittedly not yet learned to break it. This comes damn close though.

Goude kleur, aroma is perzik en wat tropisch fruit. Smaak is ook perzik en licht bitter. Beste Session IPA die ik op heb.

DraftDodger (1224) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 22, 2016
Copenhagen 22/12 2016. 33 cl can from Meny. Beer drinking Devil on the can looking kind of aggressive. Pours hazy golden yellow with white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Strong aroma with exotic fruit and citrus fruit intermingling. The sour citrus is dominating the odeur. Soft carbonation and oily palate. Flavor has light sweetness, quickly overpowered by strong bitterness. Distinct bitter aftertaste and dry finish. What it lacks in ABV, it has in spades in the bitterness department. Not bad.

Raistlin (353) - London, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 21, 2016
Clear pale golden, quite carbonated, sudsy and clingy white head. Quite strong hoppy and piny aroma. At first pine is too much, but on second sip it tastes a lot better and bit toned down. Tropical fruit, sweet malt, prickly herbs. Unusual palate, coating, herbal, nettles, pine resin and oily bitterness. Body is thin l and has a long bitter finish.

Berlin canned version. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is really dank with chives and pineapple. Taste follows with lots of hops, dank and fruity, medium bitterness on the finish. Light body, crisp carbonation. Really good session IPA with lots of hops.

Can from the LCBO. Slightly hazy golden with a nice and creamy white head. Aroma and flavour are all about the citrus-driven hops, with enough honey-cracker malt to support. Mouthfeel is good, not as thin as many other session IPAs. Lovely!

rodsquad (74) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - DEC 15, 2016
Can from Oddbins Rosemount. Pours hazy golden yellow with quickly dissipating thick white head. Aromas of orange zest and lime juice. Clean and grassy too. Taste is fresh with zingy hops, a clean citrus middle and bitter finish. Palate was lightly carbonated with a slight oily finish. An immensely clean and fresh beer with enough bittering hops to confidently remind you youre drinking alcohol. Fine stuff.
