COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s no secret we helped create and popularize West Coast style IPAs (since 1997), Double IPAs (since 2000) & Triple IPAs (since 2006). In fact, IPAs of every ilk imaginable are our bread and (hop) butter at Stone Brewing Co., but we’ll be the first to admit that a night of subsisting solely on big IPAs can be a short one. Enter Stone Go To IPA, our session IPA, boasting all the gloriously bitter, citrusy, piney flavor of our bigger / industrial-strength IPAs, but with a significantly lower alcohol-by-volume (4.5%) allowing IPA fans like us to enjoy more of this amazingly, hoppy beer over a longer session, without giving up any of that gloriously crave-able botanically-driven dankness. Well, OK, when you compare to our bigger IPAs you find that you give up some, as that’s what happens when you dramatically lower the abv. And while we work hard to bend the time/space/abv intensity continuum, we’ve admittedly not yet learned to break it. This comes damn close though.

Pours golden yellow with nice white head. Strong notes of dank pine and citrus. Taste is similar, very clean and easy to drink. A very enjoyable session IPA.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2018 Can. Nice and basic ipa. There's nothing too special in this but nothing to complain either.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2018 Can. Pours yellow with slight haze, very lively with massive white head. Aroma is grassy, pine. Taste overwhelmingly grapefruit, sharp citrus quite harsh, very bitter, some sweeter tropical fruit in there somewhere too but not obvious. Good taste for low ABV, perfectly decent IPA, just not quite my bag.

Fruit, grass and citrus in aroma, with some sock note. Hazy yellow color with minimal white head. Extremely bitter, pretty hopped up, grassy. Thin body, soft carbonation. Nice bitter finish. //can as Stone Berlin from Magic Beer Room

Classée en session ipa, ce qui semble normal pour son taux modéré, c'est une ipa à part entière. Et une bonne. Vraiment bonne et légère.

Intense aroma of citrus, pomelo & grapefruit. Hazy pale golden with a long lasting white head. Medium+ bitter taste. Light body, slick texture & average carbonation.

Pours a light gold coloration with a large, foamy head that recedes quickly. Smells wonderfully of floral hops and citrus fruit: grapefruit, lime, with a hint of tropical fruit: pineapple. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by floral, citrus hops: grapefruit, lime, with just a hint of biscuity malt and tropical fruits: pineapple, and pine, followed by a dry, medium bitterness. Even though the body is a little light, it's quite amazing how much hoppy goodness has been packed into this for a session IPA with such a relatively low ABV. Also, my can was over half a year old and still had so much going for it. This must be even more amazing fresh.
