It’s no secret we helped create and popularize West Coast style IPAs (since 1997), Double IPAs (since 2000) & Triple IPAs (since 2006). In fact, IPAs of every ilk imaginable are our bread and (hop) butter at Stone Brewing Co., but we’ll be the first to admit that a night of subsisting solely on big IPAs can be a short one. Enter Stone Go To IPA, our session IPA, boasting all the gloriously bitter, citrusy, piney flavor of our bigger / industrial-strength IPAs, but with a significantly lower alcohol-by-volume (4.5%) allowing IPA fans like us to enjoy more of this amazingly, hoppy beer over a longer session, without giving up any of that gloriously crave-able botanically-driven dankness. Well, OK, when you compare to our bigger IPAs you find that you give up some, as that’s what happens when you dramatically lower the abv. And while we work hard to bend the time/space/abv intensity continuum, we’ve admittedly not yet learned to break it. This comes damn close though.

Poured from the tap into a Rogue pint glass. The color is clear orange/gold with a foamy white head and some nice lacing. The smell is bright hops with some fresh hop aroma. Fresh cut grass is in the nose with a tangerine aroma sweetening things up and making it citrus smelling. The taste is nice piney hops with sweet light malty goodness. A nice citrus flavor with hints of tangerine and tangy grapefruit. Much like Enjoy By IPA, the flavor has that same earthy grass taste. The feel is light bodied and goes pretty damn easy. A tasty beer in a light session-able package. Some flavor reminiscent of bigger IPAs but has lightness that is very drinkable.

Can 0,33 l / Amstein - St-Légier (CH). Hazy blonde with an huge foam and aromas of citrus, lemon, stone fruits-peach. Very light beer where the malt has been saved to stuff the hop. A little taste with hints of grapefruit, orange, pine and peach-mango. Disappointed.

Go To IPA is a more mild IPA than Ruination IPA from the same brewery. Go To IPA has a more creamy foam that is firm and persistent. Aroma is citrus, grape and exotic fruit. The taste is of course most hops of mango, pine needles and exotic fruit. It's a tasteful and delicious IPA with many nice tastes, but maybe I should have tasted it before Runination IPA, I've probably not got all the details.

Klasik IPA. Fazlaca alınan bayat baharat kokusu. Tadında da asitliği ve baharat tadı fazla.

Hazy golden colour. Aroma of lemon, grass, grapefruit, passion fruit. Fresh and grassy. Light body with balanced bitterness. Dry finish.

Can at home from Tesco or Morrisons, can't remember and it don't really matter. Beer looks lovely, great hazy lemon yellow pale amber colour with a nice white head that dissipates to a lace persistent cover. That's where it ends. Smells too malty with Plasticine, Taste is quite soapy, no fruit but does have a nice lingering bitter, just wish it had a flavour. I don't feel cheated at all, but there's so much more out there for the same price.

eastkenttom (152) - herne bay, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2017
Overblown and astringent. Too much tartness to be session beer. I dunno, I think it's all just too much. Would never drink 2 in a row, let alone 3 or 4. Move along. 5.5/10.
