DATE: July 7, 2017... OCCASION: another hard summer day’s work comes to its end--time to replenish the carbs and proteins... GLASSWARE: Liberty Craft House pint... pours a vibrant, active golden body with a nearly half-glass of head that forms crags and craters all down its pint... aromatic pine, wild berries, overpowering pineapple and citrus... at 7.7% ABV, quite a smooth ride... active at the teeth and lasting in its finish... body is medium, rich and creamy... the mosaic is the star: grapefruit, mango, lemon, big pine return, and berry makes for a cocktail of flavor profile that inspires the next sip... bold hops with minimal balance, but what should one expect from a Mosaic-centric beer... I love the idea of this series, and hope to imbibe more of them as they are released... the combination of fruitiness and sharpness make for a worthwhile drink...
12oz bottle from Brook Falls Discount in the Falls. Standard IPA pour. Aroma of pine, oranges and pineapple Taste is of sweet and tangy fruits, citrus, some resin, on a solid malty toffee base. Medium bodied or less, with a solid blend and little alcohol presence. Finishes well balanced between bitter and sweet. Wow! Surprised, as I knew this would be old, but it was on the singles rack and figured would give it a shot. Mosaic is such a great hop! 13.7 nittanytide (289) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2017
Poured light gold with a foamy head. Aroma is grass. Taste is grass, lemon rind. Resonating bitter finish. gripweed57 (3038) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUN 20, 2017
12 ounce bottle. Pours a golden amber color with a large rocky beige head. Ripe citrus fruit nose. Hints of caramel and toast. Tart, bittersweet malt flavor has caramel and stone fruit notes. Notes of juicy red berries, pine and mango in finish. Quite tasty. Easy to drink. LinusStick (3537) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 20, 2017
Well I went into this beer knowing I hate mosaic hops more than any other variety so I was ready for a scathing review. It’s actually pretty good. Aroma was decent. Dank hops- burnt grapefruit rind. Pour was a nice hazy medium gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was actually good. The melon and cantaloupe flavors were there but so was the nice hop bitterness. It didn’t taste like a melon salad like most mosaic forward beers do. Nice dry bitter finish with good carbonation.

Poured into an IPA glass obtained from Real Ale Brewing. Golden with fast fading head and the smell of tropical fruit and a bit of pine. Taste is loaded with an interesting combo of floral and citrus. Lots of different flavors coming and going with every drink. Really good and just all around interesting hop. A bitter IPA with lots of citrus notes. Grapefruit and sour orange are evident. Pours a rich golden with a short head.

Single hop, mosaic beers are a good gateway from pale ales to stronger and more complex IPA. This beer shows off mosaic hops in standard fashion. It pours dark yellow with average head, the aroma is dominated by herbal/floral qality of the hops. The flavor is a mellow malt that finishes with bright, clean hops. Not particularly bitter, but not bad at all.
