Tasted from a growler generously donated by Yespr - Thanks a lot! Pours pitch black with a small espresso coloured head that disappears quickly. The colours are extremely good looking and I’m sure the appearance would’ve gotten a perfect score from me, if the beer had been served directly from the tap. The aroma bursts with sweet french roast coffee and heavy bourbon notes. On the palate the beer is extremely creamy and soft with sweetness both from the residual sugars and the alcohol. Again the bourbon is very present - it seems that the bourbon cask hasn’t been emptied completely before the beer was put in. So this is a beer that is sure to divide people. For those who doesn’t like beers with noticeable alcohol and/or simply don’t like bourbon, this is probably the worst beer in the world. Fortunately I love bourbon :-)
Rocznik 2008. Próbowany w wersji beczkowej na otwarciu Stone Brewing Berlin. Piękna sprawa! Wnioskuję że piwo nic nie straciło z czasem, wręcz przeciwnie - doskonale się ułożyło. Silne nuty wanilii, drewna i bourbonu, mleczna czekolada, wysoka paloność, długi, intensywnie czekoladowy finisz. Bardzo gładkie, dość nisko wysycone, alkohol zamaskowany znakomicie. Thanks JC. Nice stuff, easy drinking for the strength. Not quite sure, plasticine, booze, marker pen, chocolate. Fruity. Nice.

2015 Fyodor’s Classic poured into a taster showing no head with thin translucent brown rims and pitch black center.
The nose shows subdued bourbon and light caramel.
The palate is full bodied and moderately carbonated with a strong alcoholic spice. Flavors of roasted malt forwardness and dark chocolate with bourbon on the mid-palate. Very light smoky bitterness on the finish. sjogro (3956) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAR 3, 2017
