By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

12oz bottle, very nice IPA with great balance, which is what really stands out about this brew is the balance not the over presence of hops, sure they are there but not overbearing, a darn good IPA.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 13 April 2007) Amber colour with a short off-white head. Seriously hoppy nose with notes of pine needles, resin and citrus peel. Fruity, very hoppy, taste with pine needles, resin and notes of grapefruit (more in the background of needles and resin). Fairly dry. Great hop character, but still the brew is in perfect balance, since the hops arent as aggressive and persistent as they can be in some IPAs. Lovely beer.

muenster (345) - Sevierville, Tennessee, USA - APR 14, 2007
Bottle, pours hazy amber/copper with a medium tight white head. Aroma is grassy/citrusy hops, spicy/licorice malts, and dish soap. Flavor is fruit, assertive bitter hops, as well as slightly sweet malts for balance.

Pours a hazy light orange with a small head. Big citrus aroma, grapefruit, some pine as well. Very nice flavor. Good stuff.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2007 Another great offering from Stone...this IPA is damn good, but living in SD has gotten me spoiled on the hops - this one is just your standard interpretation of the American IPA. One knock I found on it was a slightly metallic aftertaste... still recommended though.

Strong Hop aroma and flavor. Moderate bitterness. Decent mouth feel. An all around good IPA.

Real killer stuff. Hardly ever do you get so much hoppy bitter in a beer so easily drinkable. Drinking this beer is like hanging out with Jackie Chan - dude is strong enough to kick your ass at any given moment, but hes too cool to do you like that.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2007 Im not an IPA lover, but I loved this beer. Rather than the astringent, bitter hops that Im used to from IPAs, this one was very lemony and flowery--very delicious. I will seek this one out again.

One of the best IPAs Ive ever had. The aroma was a combination of citrus and hops. The flavor was a perfect balance of the two. Wasnt too bitter.
