By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Smallish white head. Amber body. Deep, firm malty aroma with resiny, citric hop notes, as well as dry straw and grain. Beautifully clear. Deep, sweet, firm, dry malty straw taste with intense floral, resin, hay and pine needle notes. Clean, smooth mouthfeel, yet sharpish. Long, drawn-out dry hay and resin aftertaste. Absolutely gorgeous. (0.355l bottle at Oliver Twist.)

Pours golden yellow with a white fluffy head. Aggressive west coast hop aroma, very pungent. Lots of tongue splitting hops up front. Alcohol is well hidden by the hop bitterness. Not much malt flavor to speak. The hoppiness is very refreshing. This is what I think of when I think of an IPA.

Pours light amber. Tall foamy head. Great aroma, lots of hops, and bitter fruit. Flavor was good, complex. Texture had carbonation, but retained the smooth feel I like in IPAs. Recommend it.

A Great IPA. This beer that has all the taste you would ever want. A nice orange and foamy head mixed with a dark golden body that is exploding with hop aromas and flavors. The dry hoppying really fills in the brew with its outstanding aromas.

Bottle. This to me is what beer is supposed to be, starting with the aroma. Malt smells of caramel, hops of pine and a strong citrus mix, and yeast of dough and broth. Color is clear amber, head is fizzy white with excellent lacing and is mostly diminising. Flavor is almost perfect. Starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate, also perfect. Light to medium, oily with lively carbonation and nicely dry. I hope to find Stone beers in FL some day.

Honestly, how the hell can a guy dicerne this IPA from a slew of other good IPA’s? I will say i can tell when an IPA is up to par, but when i find a good one like this, it tastes the same as other high rated IPA’s. Maybe my taste buds have permenat hop burn? Good times though, lots o hops, but what sets it apart to make me drink this over say Furious or Masalla Mama?.......nuttin!

pours a dark gold with a one finger bubbly white head. aroma is a huge hop aroma with some nice malt, yeast, and melon, pine, and orange characteristics, and some watermelon as well. has a light to medium body with some lacing and good carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma. it is a little creamy on the palate and a little sticky on the lips. also has some flaky sediment and a nice dry hop aftertaste. a little oily and slick on the tongue also. a very nice, smooth, and balanced ipa!

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2007 Pours a deep golden with a thin but solid white head. As a rather sweet flowery pine aroma. Slightly sweet initial flavor with a strong hop bitter after taste. Some definite lively carbonation followed by a mildly rough finish round out a truly pleasurable drinking experience.

650 ml bottle. Pours golden yellow with a dense white head. Moderate lacing. Intense flowery citrus and pine nose. Moderate body with slight malty sweetness up front followed by a notable hop profile. Nice IPA.
