UPDATED: JUL 16, 2007 This is the last IPA I will try ,I hate them, way ,way too much hops, why bother putting in malts? just brew the hops so some idiots can enjoy a super bitter brew to think they’re a real men by drinking it.Just Stupid. Duster72 (117) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAR 23, 2007
UPDATED: APR 7, 2007 Pours a slightly cloudy orangey golden. Aroma is the show stopper with a wonderful bouquet of citrus hops with grapefuit up front. Taste follows the aroma with more floral hops than anticipated. A little bit on the bitter side, but not in a bad way. Mouthfeel is smooth and clean. Highly drinkable. Nice IPA. krautdog (15) - Gimmelstümph, GERMANY - MAR 21, 2007
This was the first time I saw Stone products in 12oz. Bottles so, I picked up a 6 pack. It was a bit pricey at $9.00 but, I’ve never been disappointed by a Stone beer so, I tried it.
It poured up a nice golden color with a ½ inch head and a very hoppy nose, it obviously received a heavy dose of dry hopping. The body was a bit thin but the flavor and bitterness were right on. I enjoyed it but wouldn’t rank it in my top 10 IPA’s.

Nice drink - not as great as I was led to believe but still a good IPA. Heavy hop body with a strong, but bland malt essence. Not bitter enough to be memorable and not malty enough to be smoothly appealing. The citrusy hops play the starring role, as they should, however the rest is a tad predictable and maybe too spicy for the lack of malt body. Better than average however I expected more from the makers of the Arrogant Bastard. DrHomolka (761) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 17, 2007
12oz bottle. Pours a bright, light orange/golden color with a generous foamy white head. Aroma is interesting and little different for an IPA. Floral hops but there’s also almost a slight fruitiness to it as well. A little bit of pine too. Taste is very bitter and slightly hoppy with a nice spicy kick to it. Very interesting. I’m impressed.

Coming from a fan of IPA’s this is a wonderful and easy beer to drink. Kind of lacks that bitter hoppy bite that you would get from the Two Hearted Ale. but in exchange for that, it’s smoothness going down is wondeful. nice beer JAF737300 (1291) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 16, 2007
This was a tremendous beer. The beer poured deep gold color wth a firm head. It has a hoppy note and a bit of a citrus zip keeping the bitternes clean! DreamFragments (11) - Nevada, USA - MAR 15, 2007
Beautifully crafted beer. Full of citrus and pine aromas. Pours with a great golden color, this beer is one of my favorites. DuffMan (10612) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 9, 2007
UPDATED: OCT 28, 2008 Hazy orange with a tight white head. Very woody, piny aroma. Massive hoppy character, mostly resinous and woody, slightly floral, but not very fruity at all. Pale biscuity malt takes a backseat. Very bitter finish. I like my IPAs with a little more fruit and a little more sweet malt character. Still very good though. daveysbabies (3) - Winthrop, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 8, 2007 does not count
pours nice with a golden light amber color. has a good head with grate laceing for an ipa. Has a smell of citrus, pine and hops. Tastes of the aroma. Great ipa
