By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

(Bottle) Pours a dark amber with a lasting white head. Not very carbonated. Long bitter aftertaste, but well balanced and creamy mouthfeel. Actually doesn’t seem as bitter as advertised. All in all, a very good beer.

Outstanding IPA. Pours a orange(ish) coppery gold color. Not much of a noticable nose. Floral citrus flavor goes a long way. Somwhat sweet, but tart hoppy finish is memorable. A Home Run.

Golden copper with sparse carbonation and a huge long lasting rocky head. Bready citrusy aromas. Touch of malt up front and hops mid and late for a sustained hop finish.

[Sampled at SBF -06] Hazy golden. Small bubbly head. Big, powerfull, fruity hoppiness. Dry and big hoppy bitterness. Sweet and citric.

Pours a clean golden amber with an off-white head that lasted thoughout the pint. The aroma and flavor was a sweet floral balance. One of my favorite IPAs.

good ipa, nothing special. good flavor and clean bitter aftertaste. kind of a boring beer by stone’s standards.

Stone IPA is like a good friend, who is always there for me. It’s available at every damn store in this city, relatively inexpensive and very good. It’s a shame I haven’t rated this until now. One of my top 5 IPA’s.

22oz bomber, no date. Pours a clear orange amber with a two finger light yellowish head. Pretty lacing. Aroma has lots of grapefruit and pine, with some slight floral hops. Sweet caramel malts in there as well. Nice and bitter up front, but the malts come back nice and sweet, though there is a lingering bitterness. Flavors lean more towards pine and floral, though the caramel malts do make an appearance. Just before the finish there is a slight chalkiness. Medium bodied, moderate to light carbonation, very smooth. Very good. The first IPA (or APA, for that matter) in a while that has made me happy.

Pretty damn good. Nice piney hops, but not too over the top. Stone makes some great beers and this is one of ’em. It’s neck and neck between this and Bells 2 Hearted for my fav IPA.
