Pours gold/copper with a rocky 1/4 inch white head and very good lacing. Carbonation is very lively in this one. Smells of fresh cut grass, grapefruit, lemons, roses and caramel. Taste is of pine, citrus and peppery. Mouthfeel is full and thick with some noticable alcohol. Finish is bitter with malty undertones. beervana (781) - Libertyville, Illinois, USA - DEC 7, 2005
On tap at David Copperfield’s, 74th Street and York Avenue, NYC. Clear golden yellow ale having a small diminishing white head with fair lacing. Fresh flowery hop aroma. No discernable carbonation. Medium bodied that starts with a slight sweet malt and hop flavor and bitterness. Finishes dry with lingering hop bitterness. Well balanced malt and hop with a slightly higher hop profile. This is a nice hoppy beer. framebender (56) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 4, 2005
Stand on its own IPA with plenty of hoppy yuminness. Great tight thick head with strong hop aroma. Hardly any noticable malt taste but still not over the top in hoppy flavor. Second only to Great Divide Titan IPA hopshopshops (4) - napoleon, Ohio, USA - NOV 26, 2005 does not count
The best beer I’ve ever tasted hands down. The perfect amount of hoppy bitterness. I love this beer. beerbastard (844) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - NOV 25, 2005
Clear copper orange. Malt with citrus nose. Perfect balance of bitterness with the sweet malt mixed with the pine and citrusy taste. Clean crisp finish. One of my favorites, and not overated.

This is a very good IPA. I didn’t really care for on first taste, but as the glass went on it seem to get better. Clear rich golden color. GreenDragon (219) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 24, 2005
UPDATED: FEB 10, 2006 This beer pours with a creamy white head with plenty of lacing. Lots of hops dominate the smell and taste of this magnificent beer. Easily the best easily available IPA. dm9831 (1512) - Monee, Illinois, USA - NOV 23, 2005
clear amber witha fluffy white head. aroma is hoppy. tastes bitter with lots of hops, but slight sweetness which isn’t off-putting at all. bitter finish lingers. quite enjoyable. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 19, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2010 On tap at Portsmouth Brewery on 05/15/2010. The waitress tried to claim this was brewed there, but the tap handle told a different story. Clear golden body with a medium frothy white head. Big citrus and resiny hop aroma. Big citrus and resiny hop flavor with some pale malt in the background. Medium full body with moderate carbonation. - 7/3/7/3/15 - 3.5
11/19/2005 - A white thick head that lasts a long time. The color is a very clear and light amber color. There is a very clear hoppy aroma. The flavor is bitter but flowery at the same time. 8/3/8/3/15 - 3.7 Nejhleader (1565) - Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 18, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 17, 2009 this is a pretty solid IPA. anyway it was an excellent bitterness to it, and a nice hops aroma, perhaps a bit of caramel. Awesome stuff.
