By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Bottle. The smell is amazing, very floral. Head is fizzy white but quickly diminishes. A strong beer, medium body. The taste is floral, piney. Definately a solid choice.

Bottle from cellarbrations super store in hami hill. Pours golden with a thick white head. On the nose it has plenty of citrus and pine, pine apple and a slight honey sweetness. Carbonation is moderate with a medium body. Taste is resinous, citrusy and grassy with a lingering bitter and dry finish.

From bottle. Balanced tasty ipa, enjoyable and sessionable without being an absolute standout. A fine import beer Id recommend it.

I'm no hop-head but I enjoyed this. As I don't get very into IPA's I don't have much basis for comparison here. Really nice aroma of pines and grapefruit. Very hoppy but didn't really offend me, nice subtle sweet flavors underneath. Super-clean finish.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2005 Thin/Medium, crisp mouthfeel that leaves a ton of flavor behind. Like sparkling spring water with a glorious addition of spicy hops. There is some malt and bread to balance the hops kick. Cant ever go wrong with this one.

Intensely hopped but not in a bad way, this is some heavy duty IPA right here-and I usually dont like IPA. As a bonus the intensity of this brew puts you under enough for surgery after 1 or 2 12 ounce bottles. And as always, make sure its been kept refrigerated since its nice and unpasteurized.

Lots of citrusy, pine hops - brilliant. Dark golden colour, white head which doesnt last. Very little carbonation. OK, so it only looks average. A nice initial malt sweetness quickly gives way to a powerful, yet not overwhelming hops taste. Really good. The body is medium. The hops taste initially fades rather fast, but then returns in style with a long-lasting, powerful aftertaste of hops. Overall a superbly balanced American IPA - probably one of the best IPAs I have ever tasted.

A great simple citrusy hoppy IPA. The standard for a good IPA in my book. Stone sets the bar high with this brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. pours a lovely orange color with hops apparent immediately. amazing aroma of hops, a bit of malt, and jasmine as well as other flowers. the taste is also packed with hops but not overly bitter, again a jasmine like flavor almost like jasmine tea but more bitter. very refreshing brew, great for the summer...one of the best ipas ive had!!!!

This beer is not yet available in my area. So I was delighted to see it in a store in Bethlehem PA for me to try having both enjoyed Arrogant Bastard and seeing it rated so highly here. Well... I am sad to report that maybe I got a bad bottle. It was fine but not all that it seems to be cracked up to be here. What I tasted was a very well balanced, flavorful, well hopped IPA. But I suppose I prefer something a little more off the beaten path... it was nice overall, but unremarkable.
