By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2003 Pours golden with a small head and medium carbonation. Floral, citrisy, grapefruit aroma. Taste pine, grapefruit, woodsy. This IPA doesn't have the malt kick to balance the hops like dreadnaught or dfh 90, but it is balanced by other flavors and its subtle malt end quite nicely. An excellent IPA right up there in the same league as 3 floyds and dogfish head. RERATE 08/31/03--One last comment about this beer. I bought a sixer of it, and I have been noticing a unique balancing act this beer does. After every sip, the hopiness is overwhelming, and stays completely unbalanced until the very very end. Then, a small spike of maltiness hits just as the flavors have all finished. Every sip, every time. This is an outstanding beer. I am upping the flavor and overall by one point

Deep amber color. Small off-white head mostly diminishing. Aroma is strong hoppy aroma . I love an IPA. In this case this is one of the better varieties of an IPA. Strong hoppy, bitter taste but with substantial malt backbone. Full bodied. Love the palate

Not a huge fan of IPAs, but I tried to rate this in its catagory. One of the best IPAs ive had. It has a semi-light copper color. Nice foamy head. Taste is very complex. Hoppy start, nice tingle bitter taste, then finishes with a nice dry hop. Stone Rocks

I absolutely love this beer. I find it to be the best beer that can be bought in a six pack. It is incredibly refreshing and has plenty of hops.

Bottle to a pint glass. Pours a rich golden color, with evident carbonation. Rich, thick head that sustains through the glass. Absolutely smooth, with a clean hoppy taste. Rich even finish. As good of an IPA as youll find.

A medium bodied beer, it has a deep golden color and a small head. Its distinguishing characteristic is the overwhelming hoppy taste. Hops so overbalance the malt flavors, that the malt taste is nearly lost. This is a beer for people who love very strong, aromatic hops.

Hoppy as any exmaple that is available on the market today. The overall strength of hops somewhat takes over the the other subtle flavors that show as it crosses the palate. Overall it is a definite "must try" for any fan of the style, but unbalanced overall.

When it comes to IPAs, it doesnt get much better than this. Citrus, lemony hop aroma mirrored with similar flavors. Not overpowering but enough to fulfill you. Spicy lingering finish. Medium boided with nice carbonation. Well done.

Beautiful rich golden color. Nice white head. nice hop aroma. Not sure I like the aftertaste but a very good IPA overall.
