By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours orange with a small frothy white head that is mostly diminishing but leaving very good lacing. The aroma is of citrus hops. The flavor is of citrus hops with some roasted malts. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. Overall a very good balance between bitterness and hop flavor and malts.

Maybe I’ve been trying too many double and tripple IPA’s but this seemed a bit insipid. Had this in a pint glass at a Alehouse, light amber in color, no head to speak of and light lacing, classic IPA taste with the hops and bitterness at the back end

Definitely a more than solid IPA. Stone has pulled off a good one. Great hops without being too bitter. Recommended

From a bottle in a chilled mug. Pours a pretty pale amber-orange. Decent head. Aroma is faint; citrus, and vaguely floral with hops. Taste is crisp, with a vaguely sweet, refreshing, citrus-flower quality at the front, followed by a brutally bitter finish. Wow, the aftertaste is absolutely brutal. Think dry-heave bile (we’ve all been there!) with cheap perfume and cardamon. Did I mention brutal? I wont buy it again.

First smell welcomes flowers in your nose. Firs sip is a harmony of citrus, sweet caramel malt, some pine and freshness. Sip after sip it grows. Slowly the real bitterness becomes clear, but never hindering the complete palate with is carbonization and complex taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

Deep orange-gold color, nice medium off-white head. Intense aroma of flowery hops with some fruit. The flavor is well-balanced, both sweet and hoppy. Pleasantly bitter finish. This is a great IPA.

Bottle - Slightly hazed orange pour with a creamy head. Aroma is floral and citrus hop. Flavor is big and hoppy, matching the aroma of floral and citrus with a good balance of malty notes. Finishes clean and spicy but not necessarily dry. Very drinkable for a big hoppy IPA.

Can’t believe it took me so long to try this, but it was worth the wait. Had it on tap no less at Opals Marina the other night. Great, very balanced, with wonderful drinkability. Everything works; smell, taste and color. Very, very good.
