By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Aroma, pure hops. loving it! Bitter hop, alcohol, some fennel and slightly nutty in the aftertaste but fantastic warmth comes through at the end. Sticks on the palate for a great while afterward. Awesome beer.

Bottle, Pours a hazy amber with soft effervescent head. Lots of bubbles causes nice lacing. Aroma, Soft hops citrus and spruce. Taste, is mild with pine and spruce and grapefruit aftertaste - some bitterness with dry finish. The hop flavor lingers but never produces the tongue tingle. Its a solid beer but not great

12 oz bottle poured into a short wine glass. Aroma is of pine and citrus. You can just smell the hops bursting out of this one. The color is a light orange and the head is medium to light. This beer is one of the best tasting IPA's I've ever had. Grapefruit and citrus with a long lasting and deliciously smooth palate afterwards. Love this ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had to drop the overall rating from 19 to 18 cause I couldnt put this one over Dogfish Head; though this one is as close as they come. Great, smooth, hoppy beer, just not quite as complex as the previously mentioned.

Damn good! Outta control hops ! Big taste! Lasting lace. Just dry enough. I love IPA style and this is probably the best. Highly recommend. (Bottle to tulip)

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2009 Appearance: slight haze; good IPA color; huge fluffy off-white head that never goes away Aroma: Very nice but somewhat closed aroma--but its very nice! just the right amount of malt in the background Flavor: Very good flavor profile echoing the very nice nose; however, I might like some more intensity; seems a little restrained; that said, it is very well balanced Mouthfeel: Tremendous! One of the best parts to the beer; smooth, suave, well-balanced

Appealing amber color with a nice hoppy aroma. Nice and smooth going down. Great beer with after taste of hops around my mouth. I get a nice warm feeling as I finish this beer.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2007 Bottle. Typical IPA color with a nice, foamy head and good lacing. Very flowery aroma for an IPA. Flavor is fruity and bitter and perfectly balanced. This IPA is well deserving of its lofty status. Maybe my favorite beer. Re-rate - This is my favorite beer on the face of this earth, so I have to give it a 5.
