By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Light cooper and hazy body. Excellent head but diminished to a ring around the glass and after each sip a big lace was left attached to the glass. Aroma is crisp, pine, citrus such as orange, and lemon-lime Taste is very bitter, piney, and slight citrus. Palate is crisp pine, hints of lemon-lime, very bitter with earthy tones. Possibly the best IPA I have tasted next to AleSmith. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Stone IPA is a classic. It pours a light golden color with a white cap. Aroma of hops and grapefruit. Flavor is in harmony with the scent. Awesome IPA! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good basic IPA. Nothing really stands out but it tastes like an IPA should.

As the saying goes...Stone Rocks! What a great IPA. True to their standard, Stone delivers a well balanced IPA worthy of elite status. Get Stoned! MKH---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle: An orange gold pour. A nice citrus and pine aroma. The flavor is citrus and sweet with good hop bitterness. Overall, balanced but just a tad too sweet for me. I would have liked a little less malt. But feels good on the palate anyway with a creamy smooth body. Nice beer.

2006 bottle. Pours a bronze amber with a froathy white head. Aroma is "to the max", with citrus fruits, flora notes, hops, and pine. Flavor is a bit mellow, with a nice smooth mouthfeel, with some hops coming through, as well as the citruis. Definitely doesn’t hit you with bitterness like the Ruination. Incredibly drinkable.

This is your average IPA. Smells great and gives an appearance of the traditional IPA; however, flavor wise, I appreciate that long lasting hops giving the distinct knowledge of the IPA. Kudos on the all day drinking beer for a football game.

One of my favorites. Lots of hop aroma for a "micro brewery" and lots of hop flavor. Golden and slightly hazy with moderate head and good retention and a body to support it. Love Stone beers.

One of the best IPA’s I have ever had. This brew kinda smells and reminds me of what liquid pot ( reefer) would smell like! And that can’t be a bad thing !

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2004 Nice Rocky Head. Amber in Colour. The Flavour is of Hops in the IPA tradition. The Head dissipates slowly.WOW! This packs a Hop Wallop. The Alcohol is present as the flavours of Malt, Caramel, Grapefruit and Tangerine Prevail. This is one Creamy Concoction with Hops in Abundance. Prepare yourself to enjoy this brew with great Vigor. Salud!
